Three crows at 2 o'clock by INNES Via Flickr: Yes, I was too late for sunset but the sky was alive with colour and even some mammatus cloud forming high above. I still didn't capture the sunset AND northern lights in the same shot like some local competitor, but she didn't get the castle. and she doesn't use flickr either. Mind you how she gets time to do any photography in between cleaning, and washing and ironing the bedding, and cooking apple cake and bread before breakfast and making the extraordinary birthday cakes she does, and running a B&B, I shall never know. It must be something to do with being German.

Private jetty by INNES Via Flickr: Early morning, late evening, the Loch Shiel, Acharacle, jetty is such a peaceful place to contemplate the day. It's so silent, just the sound of distant birds and water fowl, carrying across the calm waters, the occasional splash as something leaps out of the water or a duck plops out of the sky. Ben Resipol rises to the East, and the top of Ben Nevis peeps through a gap between two distant mountains further down the loch.
