Acid Fast, Last Night on Earth LP Out Soon on Salinas / Stupidbag

God damn! I love Acid Fast. Utilizing some of my favorite tools of the trade (male/female vocals, melody!, et cetera) they’ve cranked out some seriously punchy tunes. It’s scrappy, it’s dirty, and it’s punk built for being performed in a living room or played on a shitty stereo. And yet, displayed beside these celebrated imperfections, placed with precision next to all the flannel, Raiders jerseys, and neurology textbooks, is a crystal-fucking-clear ability to write these stunningly structured, heavy-duty songs. Conjuring memories of long lost bands and scenes, but still original, authentic, and relevant enough to know you’ve just come across something really special. Listen to the track; if you dig it, check out their 2014 LP Rabid Moon. It’s a bona fide, modern classic in my book. And while you’re gleefully throwing your money around, pre-order their new LP from the link below. It’s a doozy. -Daryl
