We know that God is real. We know He exists, but how often do we actually acknowledge Him? How often do we stop what we’re doing during the day just to acknowledge what He has done and what He has given us? How often do we acknowledge Him in front of others? Yet, we seem surprised when He doesn’t appear when we call on him.
Hosea 6:3 says “Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”
We need to acknowledge Him. Let Him know that we know that He’s with us and that we believe everything He says He has done, is doing, and will do. It says that He will appear! He tells us straight up that He will and He wants us to acknowledge Him.
We need to do that. In Matthew 10:33, it says “But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.” An opposite of acknowledgement is denial. We don’t want to deny God or His Son. If we deny them, they will deny us. Obviously, we don’t want that. The point is that we need to acknowledge our God every day and in everything we do.
