Let’s talk - my breakout-battling roster of kickass products, pictured above.
From L to R, pictured are:
* Glossier Super Pure Niacinamide and Zinc Serum - A serum that claims to calm redness and ease breakout prone skin, I have to say that this is the first thing I reach for after a night out or a day of diet-breaking binges on pizza and ice cream (these two things usually happen together, btw...) I’m not entire sure how great of a job it does at clearing my breakouts, but it definitely calms and soothes redness and prevents more breakouts from popping up, at least for me! I’ve decided, however, that I will be duping this out with the Deciem The Ordinaries Niacinamide and Zinc Serum since it’s a fraction of the price and seems to be a little more up front about its ingredients list.
* Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash - My ride or die (I hate that phrase but it’s honestly true) facial cleanser since I was a teenager first starting out with skincare. It really is gentle, and helps to clean all the dirt and grime from my face without stripping it of its natural oils and moisture. Paired with the next item, breakouts beware!
* Clarisonic Mia 2 - I begged for this for Christmas two years ago and I’m SO glad I did. I use it about once or twice a week (I used to use it every day... twice a day... my skin hated me for it!) and it really gives me the deep clean that I need to help purge my pores of any unwanted nastiness.
* Mario Badescu Drying Lotion - The spot treatment to end all spot treatments. I know it looks tempting, but DO NOT SHAKE THIS PRODUCT!!! It’s meant to be settled pink powder in an alcohol suspension. You dip a Q-Tip into the pink sediment at the bottom and dab it onto whatever problem areas you need to treat. Wake up in the morning to a fresh, clear face (:
* LUSH Cosmetics Enzymion Moisturizer - I’ve been using this moisturizer for a few years, and though I’ve recently decided to cut it out of my routine for cost reasons, it’s been really helpful in easing redness, dehydration, and oil production all while helping to clear up and even out my skin. I’m sad to see Enzymion go, but it was good to me while it lasted ):
* Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask - Do I even need to say it? This cult favorite acne-superhero doesn’t need an introduction, and if you think it does, just click the link!
Have you tried any of these, or have you been wanting to? Let me know, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
AND DON’T FORGET! Giveaway winners announed FRIDAY MORNING IN THE 9AM BLOG POST! (: Get excited!!!!
