Ya Rabb,
Bring ease upon the unsettled hearts.
Being a system isn't a disorder. The trauma and dissociation is the disorder. This is your problem. You see system and DID/OSDD/CDD as the same thing when they are not.
Everything has a fine line-- the trauma theory, the ToSD, healthy and maladaptive dissociation-- the lines are thin and wobbly and sometimes hard to follow
Step too far on either side of the line and you end up in unsupported and damaging territory
What is a CDD? A combination of symptoms and experiences? The system? The ptsd or cptsd?
The system is a symptom, not the disorder, the disorder is more than the system, it's not just the alters, blah blah blah, stfu
A system is both a symptom and the disorder
Just like anxiety is both a symptom and a disorder
And just because something is a symptom, doesn't mean you have the disorder, I can have a cough without the flu
But it's so goddamn stupid to deny that the system is the disorder when it comes to CDDs, because without the system, I just have a different, equally well researched disorder
CDD minus system could be:
BPD
DPDR
DA
Autism
ADHD
PTSD
Reactive attachment
Literally any of the trauma and stressor disorders, any other dissociative disorder, any other developmental disorder that was affected by and affected my traumatic upbringing
BUT THE SYSTEM IS PART OF MY DISORDER, AND THEREFORE THE SYSTEM IS WHAT MAKES IT A CDD
Find the goddamn line, because you stop making sense after a while, and this is harmful
It can be both
A system alone doesn't make a CDD, but without the system, there's no CDD
Be careful when you get into these arguments because you're just going to confuse people that are just trying to figure themselves out

Skin is an odd medium. This is progress, I hope it's not weird to dream of becoming good. I hope that with enough practice, I can master it. One part of this piece I'm really proud of is hard to see , so I took a close-up
And like, that's some fine ass detail right there
