Etho is fussy about others cutting his hair but he usually can’t do it properly himself due to his chronic illness making him have poor circulation and making him tired so it usually takes a lot of convincing from the other hermits
His fussiness would be fine, if it didn't extend to when his hair grows out as well. That's when it turns into mission impossible: cut Etho's hair before the man loses it.
It's part of why Bdubs decided to take some hairdressing courses. He wanted to know if there was anyway he could make the process easier for Etho. He thinks they're getting there! At least Etho's happier. That makes all the hermits feel better.

Imagine a family dinner with Xisuma, EX , Wels and Hels and the whole time Xisuma is staring at Hels in utter disapproval meanwhile EX is pinching their nosebridge and sighing and Wels is trying not to laugh
SORRY IT TOOK ME AWHILE TO GET TO THIS but OMGG me and my partner have talked about this exact same idea
Xisuma would HATE Hels at first and dislike their relationship, not because he’s homophobic but because he doesn’t trust Hels (yet) and doesn’t want EX getting hurt (obviously that does not happen. Hels is just a pathetic weird guy). While Wels on the other hand fully approves because now Hels doesn’t come over and annoy him anymore 👍 Except when EX comes over and stays the night. Then he’s annoyed bc he has to hear the both of them in Hels’ room all night
