CASSIAN CALMING NESTA AND HER POWER WITH A KISS INFRONT OF THE WHOLE INNER CIRCLE IS A SOMETHING THAT I DIDN’T KNOW I NEEDED SO BAD
Can we agree (especially after the new sneak peak) that Elain is the sun, Feyre is the stars, and Nesta is the moon like doesn’t it fit perfectly??
I have never been more attracted to Azriel than when:
We found out he slaughtered all the the Hybern filth hurting Gwyn and then gave her his cloak.
A COURT OF SILVER FLAMES SPOILERS!
My thoughts so far: what i’ve noticed about Nesta and Cassian in the first 94 pages.
-First thing, Nesta is hella protective of Elain and Cassian no matter what. Elain this, Cassian the bat brute that, it’s shown everywhere in her silent expressions and thoughts.
- Nesta forced herself to sit in the tub until she got over her fear by making herself realize it was a tub in her home and not the Cauldron.
- Hella repression issues. Nesta mentions she put off the affects of the war until after all those meetings with the Lords and people of the Court.
- Her mother “trained” her while her father picked Feyre and Elain. This still supports my idea that she has heavy mommy issues.
- After Feyre told her she was tearing her building down, that’s when the small warm fire in Nesta sort of died. That was the first decision she could make for herself and her sister just took it away.
- Nesta notices Cassian’s own self degrading comments and it lowkey confuses her on how the rest of the IC goes along with it.
- Cassian is a follower, not a leader. He does as he’s said/does whatever his friends do. He’s not really putting out for his own goals.
- Cassian self degrades a lot, which Nesta also points out when she says the fastest & deepest way to annoy him would be to make him doubt himself and the work he did to get here.
- Cassian remarks on this. He doesn’t believe he’s earned the love even after centuries & even though he’s ready
- Nesta remarks on the death of thousands of illyrains that she couldn’t save even though she saved Cassian.
- The death of her father. this quote just captures it perfectly.
- The fact that she saw love in her father’s eyes in his last moments and he saw resentment in hers. She regrets part of it heavily.
- ELAIN. I would rant about her but it’s not the time. Nesta mentions her a lot, as she feels betrayed by her favorite sister. Here are a couple examples.
There’s that feeling of betrayal because she spent all that time just wanting Elain to say something while no one else cared. And now, instead of trying to help her like she did, Elain picked Feyre.
Us when we get to the teasers’ parts in the book
ACOSF Truths the Fandom is to afraid to admit:
Am I the only one weirded out by the characters' personalities? I feel like the characters didn't grow as much as I thought they should have. I felt like there was too much smut that I was disappointed that they were not able to explored Nesta's feelings towards her sisters and she was not gicen the opportunity of explaining why she was treating them like that. We never really got to see their relationship as sisters grow. It was like everything was forgiven in a snap.
Let's all acknowledge how the book plots have become repetitive.
XOXO, Suriel
ok. i know this is old shit but can ANYONE please tell me why amren was at the mansion, in the office, when nesta was being kicked out of velaris?
when rhys brings nesta into his mansion, surrounded by his friends who are either neutral or down right hate her. why is amren there? literally just to try and beat down nesta more? she serves absolutely no purpose. and when she essentially says nesta would fuck anything that moves/slut shames her and rhys agrees
you can't convince me that rhys didn't just invite her/allow her to be there so he could get off on watching another person beat nesta down in an unfamiliar/unfriendly environment where she couldnt really defend herself. my memories not great, but it seemed to me thats it.
disgusting. the lot of yous (yes this is bc all the slut shaming discussion lol)
