With the early Autumn fighting season coming to a close in a few weeks, the young Great Gonzales Jr. was giving his all in the ring. Due to his friendship with the original champ and feeling the need to keep things fresh, though, he would occasionally take the fall for Prince Mush and get repaid with the same treatment later. Neither, however, were willing to give the grandstanding Rawk Hawk so much as an inch.
This was one of those times Yoshi had handed the championship title over to Mush. It wouldn't be too long before the toad fighter would relinquish the title and belt back to him. But in the meantime, the young dinosaur was taking a short break from the fighting... The 'Feral Nuclear Reactor', aka the 'chicken nugget', thought Gonzales Jr. would be easy pickings after his loss, but he had to disappoint him.
That afternoon, Yoshi sat leisurely outside at one of the juice bar's picnic tables, a watermelon smoothie in his hand. His plans were to take it easy for the rest of the day. Mostly kickin' back and relaxing as he occasionally waved hi to his fans...
...Is that thing normally up there?
Yoshi nearly fell out of his chair from tilting his head back to look. But it had the appearance of a large, flying tower. It had a concave, conical roof and a tall spire extending high above it, and it had a wide plane as its 'yard' built around the lower half.
Ever the curious child, Yoshi was drawn to further investigate anything he was unfamiliar with. After gulping down the rest of his smoothie and tossing the paper cup into the trash can outside, he climbed to the top of the juice bar's roof for a clearer view.
Yep, that was a flying tower. Nothing unusual in itself, since Glitzville was a flying city. But what was it doing there? Luckily, Yoshi remembered a souvenir he acquired among a number of them during his last trip to central Mushroom Kingdom. And one use of a super leaf later, a raccoon tailed dino had taken off like a helicopter with the floating tower in sight.
Raccoon Yoshi had just about made it to the edge of the tower's 'yard' when the strain of flying nonstop had just about gotten to his tail, and he was forced to land. Now on his feet again, Yoshi took the time to wander about, gazing at his surroundings in wide-eyed wonderment.
As he moved about, something popped up next to him out of nowhere, briefly startling him. It was a plump, yellow star-shaped creature, and it gazed back at him with equal curiosity.
"Oh... Hi there," he said in a friendly tone.
