Niektórzy z was pewno słyszeli o tak zwanym, ACTA 2.0 - jeżeli nie, wytłumaczę krótko, iż polega to na ograniczeniu nam wolności w internecie. (Po więcej informacji, dam linka do filmu poniżej). Jeżeli to wejdzie w życie, Tumblr ma duże prawdopodobieństwo upadku. Co znaczy, że nie będziemy mogli się cieszyć jakimi kolwiek treściami na nim zawartych. 

Jeżeli jakimś cudem przetrwa, wszystkie fandomy, blogi z imaginami, headcanonsami, ff (w tym mój), zostaną monitorowane i sprawdzane i usunięte, ponieważ narusza to “prawa autorskie” ludzi odpowiedzialnych za postacie, gry itd. 

(Tutaj trochę odejdę od tematu, ale tylko na chwileczkę) Dlatego nie wiem czy zdążę z drugim rozdziałem, przed tym całym gównem i czy blog dalej będzie funkcjonował..

Article 13 and why you should care.

Why is nobody talking about this shit?

As a Polish fangirl that spends most of the time on American topics and doesn't watch TV, I got to know the article 13 passed FROM REDDIT. LITERALLY.

Why is everyone so quiet?? Y'all don't even know how many of us is from Europe, and now we don't have much time before our mouths will be shut. All of this because some 50-year old pricks decided that they know more about the internet even though they have no idea how to use google search bar.

THIS 👏 ISN'T👏RIGHT👏

We need to yell about it. It's only in Europe, right, but that means a whole bunch of people's opinions will be censored now. Tumblr blogs, Reddit, Youtube, Twitter accounts can disappear. This isn't just about us. THIS IS ABOUT THE WHOLE INTERNET.

There's still time to do something about it. Countries have to decide about it separately. We need to scream about it louder, while as far as I've noticed most of us is still unbothered.

I don't care where are you from. If you give a single fuck about people's freedom and right to speak, reblog. WE NEED TO LET PEOPLE KNOW.

In 2024 I would still be against ACTA 2 from 2019, although for more different reasons

Big creators could attack small creators in order to get rid of the competition using this copyright (Because such fuckers exist, a real artist doesn't care if someone uses his character, as long as he doesn't use it for financial purposes, unless he has permission the creator himself (yes, I'm talking about animations and comics)), and this would be very destructive to art itself, because small creators would have to live in fear of bigger creators, and this is not a good thing

ACTA 2 would not harm only the memes themselves, but also the creators who are not too famous and too big to defend themselves against bigger ones who want to get rid of the competition

And it would be better for Europe not to follow the US path, because after the history of what is happening to small creators from the USA, it is better to avoid the same, ACTA 2 itself would lead to suing small creators by larger ones in order to kill the competition, or it would lead to fear of the creators themselves, that they will be sued for something, because at least he resembles a character they have no idea about, and a larger creator could use this to punish a small creator for breaking copyright (And this would mean limiting small creators and destroying their ideas because they are too similar to those created by larger creators)

This would very much violate the rights of small creators to their works, and the law in Europe was supposed to be for them (It is completely different than in the USA, where corporations have copyrights, not the author), this is the main reason why I would be against ACTA 2 even today, different from what I fought for in 2019 (Because I was younger and my perspective was not as broad as today), because they were more afraid of memes that they would no longer be legal, and not about how bigger creators would be able to use them for their nefarious purposes

This is more terrifying than the disappearance of memes from the Internet, to be honest…

Today on April 15th, we lost the battle fucking again.

You know what's weird? That in America Net Neutrality won, but in EU it didn't. People. Users. Why didn't you move your ases and try to do something?!

Why didn't you protest, call, e-mail, share the news with others?!

Our Internet will change, unless we will still fight, let's be like Americans!

I don't want to lose a contact with all my friends, who respect me for who I am and vice versa. I platonically love them in the way that I can make silly jokes and weird content without being laughed at.

We need more people to join this fight.

We need voices which can be heard.

We need to change our Internet.

We as a new generation, we need to stand back. We need to protect what's ours. We won't let them win so easily.

I don't fight for what I am interested in only. I fight for freedom, for being able to talk with people, for knowledge who doesn't need acces to money, for games which make me relax, for fan content which inspires me as well others to achieve big things.

Let's just don't look and judge at each other blogs today.

Let's unite. Let's protect what brings us together in one place, Internet.
