it’s interesting how the internet suddenly becomes a bunch of acting experts but ONLY when stranger things drops and only for the actors on that show. It’s almost as if hating on things that are popular gets you a lot more attention on social media than being positive does, since social media is where people who are not mentally well adjusted like to gather and live out their mean girl fantasies
this is very obvious when you notice how the regular fans, not the ones not deep in fandom or don’t have big online followings/aren’t content creators, react vs the ones who are. for some people hating is a full time job
(also the fact they can do what they did with a script that was super wonky at times—they clearly had to dumb things down and explain a lot since the general audience is dumb as bricks—is just a testament to how talented this cast actually is)
