フランネルフラワーの白い花。
アクチノータス属。
One of my favourite Sydney wildflower: flannel flower (Actinotus helianthi), despite of its daisy-like looking, it actually belongs to the carrot family Apiaceae.
Flannel flower (Actinotus helianthi). It is endemic to the sandstone plateau around Sydney.

A double head and so many flowers 🌼

Up close with the flannel flowers ( Actinotus helianth) in the Blue Mountains, West of Sydney, NS. If you look closely, you can see their lovely green tips. And yes, for all you overseas people, the petals feel exactly like really thick, soft flannel.

2010 was a great year for Flannel Flowers (Actinotus helianthi). These couple of beauties and a purple flag lily (Patersonia spp. possibly Occidentalis) were near Pearces Pass off the Bells Line of Road near Bell in Sydney’s Blue Mountains.
