Summary:
Michael Afton is living in the wake of his father's insanity, but surely it's over now. He and Henry Emily reside by themselves in Henry's hometown, trying to live with some normalcy despite Michael being an immortal purple zombie and Henry being, well, old. Their daily routine was bound to be disturbed, it seems, when Michael finds another zombie friend ready to eat some brains. "Well?" Obi-Wan asked as he raised an eyebrow and looked over at Ventress, who had a scowl on her face and her hands wrapped around her stomach as she glared at Obi-Wan.
"What," Ventress spat out at him, her eyes narrowing.
"You think I'm going to thank you for saving me?" She asked, her tone incredulous as she straightened back up and reignited her lightsabers, the red glow of the blades illuminating the dark room.
The air was musty, and dust particles floated around the room, briefly illuminated by Ventress's red blades as the went by. In the distance, there were crates and boxes, a staircase leading up to a second observation deck that was above them.
Aside from the hum of Ventress's blades, the only thing that Obi-Wan could hear was the sound of his own breathing, and his heart beating.
"Do you have any idea where they went?" Ventress whispered, and Obi-Wan turned to look at her, her pale eyes wide and reflecting the light of her blades back at him.
"None, but I figured that I couldn't just let you die," Obi-Wan replied with a shrug, and then quickly looked away from her and up as he heard a bang come from above.
"Fair fight and all," he muttered as he watched something move from above them.
Despite the severity of the situation, Ventress lowered her sabers slightly and groaned, rolling her eyes in response to what he said.
"Kenobi," she began, not looking at him, but looking up at where a figure, now two, were approaching them from above, standing at the edge of the observation deck of the old factory they were in and looking down at them.
"Shut up before I kill you myself," Ventress snapped.
"Not," a voice replied from the dark, his figure quickly illuminated by a red blade as well.
"If I do it first, witch." he hissed and then lunged at the both of them, his brother following with a roar, and Obi-Wan brought up his blue saber just in time to block the blow.
"Any ideas?" Obi-Wan roared in Ventress's direction over the sound of Maul's blade clashing against his own again.
"Run!" Ventress shouted back over Savage's yell as he ran towards her with his blade swinging wildly, and he caught her in a moment of weakness, her body slamming against the wall with a hard thud, and then the room was significantly dimmer.
