okay confession i have never been to applebee’s bc there are like 2 in canada and i’m not seeking them out. i imagine they’re like the america equivalent to kelsey’s, in which case i KNOW that’s the important part. they are YOUNG KIDS with NO MONEY who care more about the GESTURE than the ACTUAL VENUE. it’s not about the applebee’s or about how shitty it is. it’s about them being quietly and newly in love and learning how to navigate that relationship in the spaces they have available to them
