Suzanne Collins mind fascinates me because what do you mean the woman that wrote Ampert's death scene also worked for Nickelodeon and also was a head writer for Clifford's Puppy Days

Anyway everything about Ampert’s story made me cry so hard. Absolutely heartbreaking. Like he’s Beetee’s son and was only reaped to punish his dad. And they made Beetee mentor his own son to certain death. A death that turned out to be incredibly brutal, terrifying and painful. Eaten alive by carnivorous squirrels until there was literally nothing left but bones. I cried so fucking hard at that scene.

Like obvi I knew he was gonna die, but this was a special kind of horrible. Poor Beetee in the Capitol and his pregnant wife back home, probably alone, having to watch their 12 year old child eaten alive by mutts
