(I know I answered this in the stream, but just in case anyone else was curious…)

It’s actually a Johnlock fic, which is weird for me because I don’t really ship them that hard (not nearly as much as Destiel). But it’s so well written. The language is beautiful (which is practically a turn-on for a linguistics major), the dialogue is fantastic, and the story flows so beautifully. It doesn’t follow the “typical” fanfiction story line (which tends to be pretty predictable), so it never gets stale. (At least so far— I’m only about halfway through it.)

Anyway, it’s called Performance in a Leading Role and it’s making me happy.

For one of the more well known fics of the fandom it actually took me a while to stumble across this one but thank god I did. Though at first dubious of how the boys as actors would work, I was quickly won over. They are still very much the John Watson and Sherlock Holmes we all know and love and their relationship is shown beautifully in this fic.
