The lights, stage, audience, and the voices became more familiar to you more, as years passed by. If you compare your starting point to here she'd be so freaking proud
You albums had gone trending back to back this recent years with one of them ranking no. 1 in the World Billboards
"So, let's talk about the past" the host started building tension with the audience
"That's the purpose.. uh ask away!"
"Please don't be pressured just answer as you are comfortable with" the host noticed your nervousness
You did just a little.
"From what we have heard you were from Canada originally? before you moved to the states at the age between 10-13 years old what's the story for that?"
"uhh... great question, I wasn't exactly from Canada I moved there with my parents when I was 4-5 years old, I was born in Europe. Yes, I was 13 years old when I moved with my aunts yes plural" you laughed " after they got custody of me"
"Ohh so the rumors that you were raised by your four Aunts was true then?"
You nodded "yes, they're actually here right now" you motioned to the front seats where your aunts are
"Hello! pleasure to have you here in the studio" the host greeted and your aunts returned it
"Do you remember anything from your time in Europe and Canada?"
You crunch your face "I don't remember much when I was in Europe I don't even remember which part of Europe I was in but in Canada..." you paused
memories of a certain someone drifted to your mind. His curly messy hair, brown eyes, his smile
"My time in Canada was.... fun and a mix of depression actually" the mood starts to tilt the host let's you go on
"Before we even moved to Canada my parents would often let their anger out on me... physically. They were young and stupid at the time when they had me and they had this mindset that my existence was the halt of their 'fun young years'
It was probably the reason why they decided to move to Canada. Even there we kept moving all around that I didn't even try to remember the name of the places we lived in
then they found their place and enrolled me in a kindergarten because it was 'mandatory' and they didn't always want me at the house so it was a win for them
for me? I was always covered in bruises. my teachers asked my parents about it and they just answered I often fall. They believed it.
For the first week no one talked to me I sat on the corner of the classroom staring at nothing when he sat next to me"
a small noticeable smile appeared on your face because the whole time you were talking you stared at the background blank but at the mention of him your eyes lit up and your facial expression says it all

"yes, he came to me with a cartoon train band aid. He wanted to be my friend but was too shy to say anything until he had a reason... the cut on my left hand he had a band aid on his bag that his mom always had on him
He was bright, cheery, his smile was everything, his curls were always messy that the teachers gave up on always trying to fix it
he just started talking and before I knew it he called me his best friend
he had other friends but he chose me as a best friend.
From then on the abuse from my parents became just a background noise my full attention was on him
I started sleeping at his house and his family welcomed me with open arms his older brother was always the one that picked us up from school
My parents didn't catch on because they were too busy having 'fun' but I didn't care, one time I accidentally called his mom 'mom' I thought I was going to get beaten but she just smiled at me and gave me a pie
It was peaceful, at times he would get whist away for months on end. That means I was alone again but when he comes back he has all these stories about his new friends and what had happened
Then he had to actually leave Canada for more than 6 months with his family too... he promised that he will be back. At that time i didn't have any phone to keep in contact with him
I waited and waited until an incident happened at the house. The house was robbed with me inside it the robbers had broken in and knocked me unconscious
my parents instead of taking me to the hospital had locked me up in my room without water or food until I was able to escape and find help
my aunt from the states was informed about my condition. all four of my aunts went to Canada to see me and my parents didn't hear any of it and handed my custody to my aunt's without a fight
Paperwork was handled quickly and I moved to the states without even informing him and his family of what had happened"
The mood was heavy "what happened now? after you became a singer did you try to reach out to him?" the host understood that the story wasn't just about you it was also about that someone
You looked straight at the camera then at the host "I didn't" you answered feeling tears build up your eyes "I won't know what to say to him and his family" they fell
the host handed you a tissue box and you thanked them "if he were to see this interview and recognize you is there something you want to tell him?"
You thought for a while then looked at the camera "I don't know if you'll see this considering you kinda live under a rock" you laughed to yourself talking about the press interviews he had to promote stranger things s5 "I'm proud of you, I'm proud that you have became an amazing actor and know that I had watched all of the movies and series you had been cast on" you smile wavering "You probably recognized some of the songs that I had published were similar to the songs we wrote as kids"
The show had a small intermission before the interview continued this time focused on your music career. But your fans and everyone else were more focused on that boy you had talked about

When he came back from filming stranger things at that time he went to her house first and came face to face with another family that lived there
His parents soon found out what had happened. You didn't move with your parents your aunts adopted you and because you don't have a phone he had no idea how to contact you

Interviews and Music videos? watched all of them. The cast had started to tease him that he's in love with the new world pop idol

His agents won't let him. His team couldn't even if they tried you were higher than him. But did that stop him? no of course not

After your interview a lot has happened they wanted to know who this mysterious actor you were talking about they had a lot of guesses and a few guessed right but you didn't say anything
You really didn't mean to tell them about him but you slipped and now it's all out. You had hope this doesn't bother him much considering he had made it clear to the public that he kept his life as private as possible
Your manager Alysa called you "hey so change of schedule" you hummed you were used to last minute changes "duffer brothers just invited you as their surprise guest for the main cast's last interview with (whatever you think)"

"oh? did they say why?" you were curious really
"Oh they said because your songs were always on repeat whenever they're together in between scenes. They said you were their favorite so they wanted to give them a farewell gift and what better gift would that be none other than their all time favorite"

"o-okay, when is it?"
"next week and doll up you'll meet your mr knight in shining armor there" Alysa teased before hanging up
okayyy that doesn't sound so bad... right?
You'll see Finn again. What would his reaction be? would he be mad at you for leaving without saying a goodbye and then revealing it to the whole world??
To say paranoia didn't leave you was an understatement.
the day of the interview you had to be sneaked in through the back and made to stand inside a box
A literal red box to be revealed later
"Holy shit is this the gift they were talking about?" you heard voices. familiar voices from the cast
"It probably is?" you heard Millie's voice
"woah imagine if there's a person inside" that was gaten
someone knocked on the box "anyone there?"

You feel yourself In front of the stage for the first time once again
Palm sweating
heat beating
"Hey! Finn no knocking and step away from it" you heard probably one of the duffer brothers
The show's on live. The big reveal will happen in a minute now
'30 seconds' someone from your headset started counting down and when it came to five then the box started came apart
"LET'S WELCOME Y/N L/N!!"
You located him.
He is seated just right next to you and you mad eye contact but immediately get into position and started singing
That was it you started singing before sitting down in the middle of the cast... finn is seated next to you and you can feel his gaze on you
The interview was really great you avoided Finn's gaze the whole night and when the show ended there was an after party and you were of course invited
Your ride there was separate and you ranted to your manager Alysa about how you felt his gaze on you that he won't stop looking
you also noticed he'd grown taller than you.
Then Alysa suddenly opens the comments section

The party was great really great
your eyes looked for Finn but he was nowhere to be found until someone pulled you behind the curtain then did you find him

His eyes scan you and he cupped your face like how he used to when you were kids "want to ditch?" you laughed and couldn't trust your mouth and just nodded
Finn pulled you to a private room.
It was quiet for a while.
"y-you don't hate me?" your voice was small much like how you used it with your parents
Finn turned around so fast he was immediately forehead to forehead with you "god no. Hell will have to freeze before I can ever hate you" his hands on your cheeks again "but do you?"
"what?" you whisper you can smell him. God you missed him
"do.. you.. hate me?" every word seemed to hurt him
"no no no never" you answered tears were already building up your eyes again "Finn" you choked
Finn's heart was suddenly up against your ears... just like how you like it.
You spend the rest of the party like that. With your head rested on his chest as he played with your hair and rubbing small circles on your shoulder blade
there was a couch both of you lay there catching up and going down memory lane.
meanwhile at the venue
"what's the point in inviting y/n for all of us when Finn just hogged her for himself" Sadie groaned playfully
everyone on set knew the story and the duffer brothers just gave finn a little more push
Finn ended up spending the night at your hotel room. Your manager and Finn's made an exception for this one time and canceled both your schedules the next day.
Ever since then things have changed.
Fans started seeing you both more and more together in public. Ofc there are still haters out there but your fans were good at shutting them up.
The hardest launch was the engagement photos. The two of you have been away from each other for too long Finn didn't want to let you go and neither did you.
