Its really hard to reblog flat earth memes because even their serious arguments sound like bad memes
We are all ephemeral
Mass is an illusion. We are all made from massless particles bound by fundamental energies which run deep in the cosmos. We are nothing more than trapped energy which will one day be released to join the surrounding harmony.
I dunno if you take science asks but, uh. I don't know who else to ask. Sorry if I sound stupid, I know nothing about science, but I read somewhere that ozone is "made" when sunlight hits the oxygen in fumes from cars and such, and it can be dangerous in huge cities on sunny days. But doesn't fumes from planes destroy the ozone layer? If oxygen from fumes+sunlight = ozone, shouldn't the layer become thicker because of the planes?
Good question! I don’t mind answering at all!
First off, the ozone layer is also known as the Stratosphere. It is almost like a shield for the earth, protecting it from the Sun’s harsh UV rays. The three main compounds that contribute to our atmosphere is methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2), and water vapour (H2O). The ozone has three oxygen atoms, and it is the result of the action of Ultra Violet (UV) radiation on oxygen molecules. The ozone is not a part of the Greenhouse Effect.
Ozone depletion occurs when chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), formerly found in aerosol spray cans and refrigerants, are released into the atmosphere. Through several chemical reactions, these gases will cause the ozone to break down and thus allow more UV light to pass through to the Earth’s surface.
When planes burn fuel at such an intense temperature and rate, it can produce oxides of nitrogen (NOx: pronounced “nocks”). When a plane contains NOx and burns it off into the atmosphere, it will increase the production of ozone. A thicker ozone can lead to less oxygen available for plants and other living things. If anything, the plane’s exhaust will add to the Greenhouse Effect which will cause warmer temperatures.
Of course, I’m not an actual scientist, but I have linked my sources below. If I have made a mistake, feel free to correct me! I hope this helps! There are plenty of trusted online resources for anyone to read if they want to learn more
