this comes down to connor compartmentalization. he's shoved his feelings about hudson into a box and he can't let people perceive them anymore and see his tender underbelly bc he's been too vulnerable and now he's experiencing vulnerability hangover. meanwhile, hudson doesn't care if it seems unreciprocated he's already Seen connor and connor can't take it back now he's going to continue showering him in love and affection (guy who loves easily and earnestly)

yeah :( has anyone noticed that love is real? I mean I think maybe Francois is feeling like its abandoned him but. lets go back to Katelyn and Connor in his kitchen while Hudson showers. he knows how to talk to girls :) this is his comfort zone :) and then she asks him about something that Bailey lets him get away with never addressing ever (honestly. maybe she asks how long his longest romantic relationship has been.....turns out its four months.....) what he said he liked was people who seem like they're really listening to you. now he's got not one but two potentially three new people on deck who listen to him and also ask him follow up questions....
