having children needs to be deromanticed so fast. giving birth is a terrible process that isn't good for the body, it's miserable and the whole "pregnancy glow" bullshit needs to die. adoption needs to be treated the same as having biological kids, "just a thing that happens."
having kids is a lovely thing only when people are ready and going to be good parents. the romanticism of birth needs to be abolished.
