Ah, damn. This made me choke up within the first few seconds. See, this is what I mean when I say that I’m scared of listening to the CoE soundtrack.

This is soooo sad. Beautiful, wistful, in a way. And then in the second half it gets stronger, like he’s fighting and trying to go forward, powerful, and yet it’s still so sad. It gets so dramatic and heroic, much like Judgement Day, I think. It’s hopeful, but with the knowledge that it might/will not end good. Ah, shit.

And oh god, don’t get me started on Owen Fights Death. I think it’s very poetic, very dark. It has that sort of power struggle in the music which just underlines the scene perfectly, doesn’t it?

what is coac about?

it’s a musical about albert cashier, a transgender man who emigrated from ireland and fought for the union during the american civil war. it covers two timelines: albert’s service during the war, and afterwards when he is an old man living in saunemin, illinois.
