one of the things that makes seasons 25-6 so weird to watch is they have the same visual & auditory style as the rest of 80s doctor who but the subject matter is just, drastically darker

so it’s like, *bingly boop*, *awkwardly inserted visual effect w flashing lights* *synthesiser music*, ‘this man no longer believes in God because the British army are killing children, watch as his faith crumbles’ *deedly doo*
