What did you just finish reading?

I'm making my way through A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn and I kind of started Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas.

I'm currently waiting on a copy of When in Rome by Sarah Adams from the library.

I'm so happy about the warm weather this week. My day just gets better when I can have the door open and sun shine in.

A curious beginning: A Veronica Speedwell mystery: I don’t really know how to start this review. Not because I have nothing to say but because I have too much. To be honest I haven’t read a lot of just straight up mystery books. Especially ones that don’t have some kind of supernatural element to them. But I very glad that I did! I love this book. You get to strong main characters that I feel have fun and interesting personalities. Plus you get a main female character that can take care of herself without feeling crazy over powered and has actually emotions. You get a main male character who is that kinda that tall, dark ,and brooding type but is also amazingly caring and not just mad. But even when the main male character(Stoker) does get angry our main female character (Veronica) doesn’t back down and gives as good as she gets. It’s just a fun mystery with great characters who make choices that make sense and don’t leave you yelling at the book.
