Any headcanons on post s5 Blunder yet?

Hey, anon! I’m honestly really touched and honored you actually just came straight to me to ask? Like, seriously, I love getting this message so much.

I’ll be honest that my brain is really, REALLY not working correctly at the moment because I am very tired lmfao and I’m rewatching with my roommate right now, so I’m a little distracted rn lol. Here’s me spitballing some ideas though! :)

I think for a while, Gob and Tony will definitely be...jittery around each other. Lots of moments like the “same” scene in s4, moments where they touch and they’re still confused about what they’re feeling. I don’t know if Gob realizes he’s still into guys, you know?

Like it always does with them, things soon explode. You know, they realize the meaning behind their words of “hand stuff”. This takes a couple days, tbh.

No kissing for a while. Kissing makes it gay, makes it feelings-y, makes it something more than just...hands. Friendship. Lmfao 

Not to like brag but uh...I do think a lot of things like my fic will happen. You know, shoving against the wall, lots of more violent, passionate things, nothing sweet for some time.

Sally and Joni totally know. They just...don’t care. It’s hard to make themselves care. Blunder thinks they are being so sneaky but they’re not. EVERYONE knows they’re hooking up.

They’re basically boyfriends without labeling it. They’re both too in love to let it go. Ever. 

They’re running opposing companies, too. And they’re both SO. DUMB. So that’ll be fun, right? The drama! The Romeo and Juliet of it all! 

But, of course, they think it’s R&J style drama, but does anyone else? The companies are both not doing well, no one cares like at all. 

In fact, the idea of the Bluth and Sitwell companies combining sounds like a good idea to them for a moment. Lucille might even change her opinion on gay marriage just for the idea of pushing the companies into a merger? Well, “change” her opinion lol

Of course, then the reminder that the two of them are complete IDIOTS with very limited business savvy ruins that idea

Again, this is some random spitballing but I’m always eager to talk over some more things!! Like Gob has ADHD being totally canon confirmed at this point lol

My main issue is that s5a in particular implied heavily that Gob is gay. Not into women at all, just 100% gay. And I think that fit his arc from s4 perfectly and also actually really made sense looking back on who he is as a person/character. Even back when I first watched s4, I saw him as gay from the storyline. I didn’t consider bi to be an option for him, not because I don’t believe in bisexuality or any bullshit like that, but I just saw it as a great narrative for him. A guy who put up all these fronts due to the family he grew up in, a guy who never lived up to the expectations of his father, a guy who was always seen as less than compared to his Straight Man™ brother…to me, it all made sense. It made for a tragic but beautiful storyline. And I thought it was rather interesting given that we don’t see a lot of stories with men discovering their sexuality at a later age. All the ones I can think of come after s4 - darryl in crazy ex and the men in grace and frankie (sorry I don’t watch the show but I know that’s obviously a plot point lol) are the only ones that come to mind. 

Then s5a called him gay, said he was going to be gay for a “long while”, made it clear he wasn’t interested in women. Mitch called him gay in an interview. It seemed confirmed.

Then s5b first has Argyle Austero calls him straight for not knowing Oklahoma lyrics. They insisted he was straight in general and I thought okay that’s kinda fun. It could be a fun story to have him think he’s straight because he doesn’t know musical theater/gay things. Totally fitting of the show and the character and everything.

…Then he goes to straight conversion, gets an erection while looking at boobs, and they decide that he’s bi. Of course, the only confirmation of bi is that one erection (which tbh he was also looking at a cross necklace so with him lmfao…) and buster saying he’d rather have a “maybe bisexual” brother who’s alive than a straight one who’s dead. And not only did the implication of him still being into women just come from NOWHERE after s5a, but it just seemed rather…lazy, I guess? Like the way they had him be bi was just like not well-written. As I’ve stated before, that was my main issue with Valencia’s sexuality arc as well; it wasn’t well-written and, especially with later revelations of Valencia’s backstory, it was pretty offensive. They made Valencia a cheater, something bi women are always accused of being. They made Gob get hard over boobs once, ergo bi.

I don’t know. I’m sure I’ll get called biphobic for this and I’m really sorry if it seems that I am. Like, I don’t have a problem with him being bi, I really don’t, but after the build up in s5a, it seems wrong to have him be bisexual. 

And, on some personal notes, yes, I know my own issues over the storylines with Gob and Valencia both stem from my own projecting. And, yes, I’m a little offended over Gob on a personal level because I have written him as completely gay in every fic I’ve done and literally posted a chapter update where he was debating if he was gay or bi in a fic last night, only for him to realize he was completely and utterly gay. It’s how I’ve always written him (yeah, always being the like 10 months I’ve written for AD but you feel me). So I felt a bit personally attacked as well als;kdfj

Anyways. I don’t want to rob people of their happiness with Gob being bisexual, but this one just kinda came from nowhere for me and actually kinda hurt. I’m going to keep writing him how I write him since I only write AUs anyways but…yeah. That’s my truth

Now I’ll wait for the biphobic bitch comments to come back. Can’t wait to get told to choke again : - )

A bit more info...has me thinking. In the most recent tv spot there is a shot of daisy and Lincoln using their powers against something. Then there is a scene with Daisy telling Lincoln to come with her because his life is in danger. 

Add this to the 3rd episode (a wanted (inhu)man) description of coulson, daisy and Mack needing to get to him before it is too late. 

So I take this to mean a few things: 1) Lincoln is not going with daisy in episode one. 2) one of 2 parties is after him. Either Lash who he may have gotten in the way of with a nuhuman, or Lash is an afterlifer that holds Lincoln's helping stop waiting against him, OR Lash is after him for something to do with Lincoln’s mysterious past. It could also be the ATCU, who as a government agency may have access to the index. Since they are rounding up inhumans, and since he is on said list, could lead to them being after him

I love how the underlying message of the "customer confessionals" in Sam Adams ads is always "Wow, I would never have expected that this was Sam Adams! It's so good!", i.e. "Everyone thinks Sam Adams sucks dick, but it actually doesn't!" It seems like a better strategy might not be to plant/reinforce that whole "Sam Adams sucks!" thing in people's minds before trying to sell it to them.

This will probably turn out to be bullshit, but I had some ideas and I wanted to post them so that way, if I was right later, I could pride myself on making a post about it. Heh.

Anyway, this unknown lifeform:

tITAN. Titan follower. What attracted me to their image was the ears or whatever those are. They greatly resemble the prosthetic ears that Titan's followers get.

Additionally, the symbol behind them looks like abstract TITAN imagery.

a gIRL? Their shape is traditionally feminine-looking.
