imagine: telling adam you're pregnant

[the mighty ducks imagine] • [this is when you & adam are much older] • [this is my first imagine so bear with me please] — positive. the symbol showed two lines indicating that your pregnancy was for sure. your heart stopped. “i’m going to be a mom.” you whispered to yourself. still in shock, you went online to look for cute ways to tell your husband that you’re pregnant. after scrolling through numerous cute ideas, you came the the conclusion of doing something hockey-related. you customized a jersey with the lettering saying ‘banks’ and the number being the same as the baby’s soon-to-be father’s, 99. after placing the order that said you be delivered tomorrow, you started to make dinner. the door opened at six o'clock. ‘always on time’ you thought to yourself. while adam set his bag and stick on the ground, he came over to the kitchen where you were stirring soup and kissed your cheek. “hey, (y/n). how was your day?” he asked while sitting his sweaty body down on one of the four wooden chairs. you smiled. “great, i cleaned around the house and was able to talk to my mother, they’re enjoying their caribbean cruise very much.” you responded. after the dinner chats, which you thankfully didn’t give any information of being pregnant away, adam went up to go take a shower while you put spandex and one of adam’s old shirts on to go to bed. when he found you all snuggled up in a ball, he smiled to himself about how lucky he was to marry you. the next morning, you woke up to an empty bed, as you did every time adam had practice with the minnesota wild. you quickly went downstairs to find an adorable breakfast set out for you with a note that said, “to the love of my life”. man were you lucky. after finishing breakfast and washing the dishes, you ran outside hoping to find a box; you did. you squealed with delight. taking the jersey into your hands, you laid it on the table and put some of adam’s old hockey gear by it. you also wrote a note that said “can’t wait to root for you in nine months, daddy!” as you did you errands for the day, you came back home and watched tv until the love of your life came back from hockey. again just on time, he came at six. “hello, honey. how was your day?” he asked with sincerity. “great, how about you, adam?” he smiled. “amazing, but not as amazing as you.” he responded while kissing you on the cheek. as he walked into the kitchen, you got your camera ready to take video. you followed him in as he read the note. he froze and with his adorable eyes wide, he started at you. “i-i’m going to be a father?” he asked shocked and with excitement. you nodded, tears slowly coming down your face. seeing you cry, he did too. taking you in his arms, he whispered, “we can’t wait to welcome you into the world, little banksy.”
