Meredy from Fairy Tail
Tales of Eternia Playstation 2000
okay but now i'm thinking about it from the flip side. jude heartfilia, still caught between grief and denial, overhears people talking about how fairy tail is nothing now, and thinking that, as much as it's hypocritical of him, he can't imagine how anyone can say these things about the guild that took in his daughter and gave her a family. lyon, returning from another fruitless search for survivors, hears a remark from someone in lamia scale that searching for them is a waste of time and he has to be pulled off the guy by jura and sherry, blinded by his anger and sorrow. crime sorciere, taking down a dark guild and one of the bad guys for some reason makes a disparaging comment about fairy tail and jellal, ultear and meredy nearly kill him.
i love Ultear so fucking much. i love how every meaningful relationship she has post-timeskip is forever tainted by her own hands, and she will never be able to atone for that or change anything about that, for that matter.
her adopted daughter would never need her in the first place if it weren't for Ultear destroying her hometown and killing everyone she ever loved. after that, she tried to kill herself in front of her, eventually (belatedly) coming to the shocking realization that the child needs her and doesn't want her dead despite everything she'd done.
her only best friend was brainwashed by none other than Ultear herself for the duration of 8 whole years, after which he died, got ressurrected, arrested, tortured and starved in that godawful prison cell for another year, and only then she broke him out of it, dragging him along with her on her catholic guilt-ridden redemption trip that was doomed from the onset — and, given the aformentioned torture and malnutrition, the friend in question probably couldn't refuse her even if he wanted to.
she attempted to drive her "adopted brother" to suicide via the very same spell that killed her mother less that a year after she endeavoured to lead her other "adopted brother" into desecrating the remains of her mother/his teacher while kind of hoping he would die fighting the beast he was about to unleash into the world in the process.
did i mention how she had a hand in the "destroying the last remains of her mother" scheme? yeah. shit's crazy.
Besteirol #4 - "THE" talk
Finishing the abandoned drafts on my sketchbook. I think we all agree Jellal don't have a minute of peace in his poor life.
Btw, I have a feeling this one is specially stupid (?). Sorry, I guess.
incorrect quotes bc I’m bald
Juvia went from immediately defeating the enemy to a quick 180 on now wanting to reunite with Gray (like honestly so relatable) hoping those two reunite soon 🙏
