Anyway, the way people on tumblr have intense discussions about these unexpectedly loaded topics has made me question my perception of them.

So we were just finally getting our Christmas cards mailed and I found myself puzzled for a moment.
Back in the spring Mom sprang for a Rhine river cruise (do not get me started why tours are NOT my thing, it turns out) and we made friends with the women that shared out table. So now I was was writing out the address on Barbara’s card, but I did not know what to put for the country!! Oh, I know where Penzance is, but do you put “England” or “UK” when you mail a letter??
Here is something only Doctor Who fans will get. Somehow I ended up making friends with a woman from England named Barbara Wright!!!! The first time I saw her last name I had to work very hard to not go all geeky and point out that she shares a name with one of the Doctor’s first companions. LOL If she reads this, I guess she knows now!
I am a Doctor Who fan and my friend in England is Barbara Wright! The world is full of odd coincidences. :)
