Headcanon #8

Adelaide is always flirty, and she likes to have similar attention on herself, but she usually does not act on what she seems to promise.  She has a natural distrust of men, and while she will sleep and be friendly with them, takes what they say with a grain of salt.  She is bisexual with a leaning towards women, and so is more friendly towards women.

Headcanon #7:

Adelaide is superstitious.  Her family raised her a good Christian, but they also raised in her a knowledge of home remedies, folk ways to ward off people, and other such.  She finds nothing odd with carrying about some small bones, and sees spells and other such things as practical ways to getting by.

Headcanon #6:

Adelaide is bilingual.  She was raised on French, and spoke French with all of her friends.  Because of school, where they were made to speak English, they all learned, although Ade was stubborn about it.  Her English is good now, but she likes to slip into French, and when she gets the chance, speaks fully in French.

Headcanon #5:

While her profession is tailoring and garment-making, she is also involved sometimes in the dyeing process.  Although she has knowledge on how to spin fibers into yarns, she's not very good at it, so she lets others do it for her, then buys the yarn as greige goods, and dyes the yarns herself.  She gets very specific with her dyes, and once a month, Ade collects all of her yarns and dyes them.  By the end of the dyeing process her fingers are deeply stained, typically a deep indigo.

Headcanon #4:

While travelling as well as at home, Adelaide passes time gossiping and knitting with her neighbors, or those around her.  She can crochet as well, but she isn't as good at it as she is at knitting, or sewing.

Headcanon #3:

When at home, Adelaide spends her leisure time making quilts.  While she does make some non-traditional ones, she prefers the time-old patterns still.  The geometry and symmetry they have are what make them her favorite.
