Champion’s Clash!
@champramona
It had been ages since Vela had visited Driftveil City, she rarely had buisness with the area. While the rather active mining industry dealt with what was below the surface of the Earth, Vela’s interests were more centric on what was above it, and beyond. Of course sure, Driftveil did have it’s values and it was an important part of the Unova region, however she didn’t come here for it’s mining facility, or even the Driftveil Market. No no,
Vela was here for the Pokemon World Tournament.
An institution constructed by the old gym leader Clay, legendary trainers from around the Globe could meet and face off, in a rare and refreshing clash of cultures and strengths. She’s observed a match or two in the past, but Vela wasn’t here to participate in any tournaments. If anything, she had the facility rented out, by pulling a few strings, and had the entire place booked for something of an exhibition match. And what better way to face off against the Kanto champion, both new in their positions, than in a battlefield renowned for connecting regions in the one thing they all love the most? Competition.
Currently, Vela was in the tunnel leading to the arena, even from hear she could hear the roaring excitement of the Audience. And who could blame them? A match, even exhibitionary; was certainly nothing to sneeze at when it came to between champions. She stared down the bright white lights that were at the end of the tunnel, and turned back to face her soon to be opponent.
“Let’s give them a match worth the wait, shall we?”
