ADHD conversations with a Mate
Me: I have ADHD and I take meds for it. It's a bit of a pain but it's me.
Mate: Oh! I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid but my family didn't think it was a big deal. They just thought I was bored and I don't have it anymore.
Me: ADHD doesn't go away.
Mate: ?
Me: It just changes with your maturing brain. As you get older you start creating mechanisms to deal with it. It never goes away though. *I begin to list symptoms of inattentive ADHD* Have you experienced any of these?
Mate: Fuck. You just explained my life.
