I started watching The Halcyon for Toby and Adil

And at first, I thought Toby was the hot one (Edward Bluemel is hot, don’t get me wrong) but I didn’t expect to fall head over heels for Adil. He’s sassy and strong and brave and Akshay Kumar is a fucking smokeshow and a gift to this world.

Fandoms you write for: Mainly Gheorghe Ionescu and Johnny Saxby from God’s Own Country. I’ve also published in ‘Adoby’ (Adil Joshi and Toby Hamilton from the hugely underrated and cancelled ☹️series The Halcyon), Scorbus, and one story in Drarry, too. I write for a few others but I’ve never published them . . .

Most popular one-shot: My one-shot with the highest kudos is Back which is in the God’s Own Country Gheorghe Ionescu/Johnny Saxby fandom. It’s nearly at 500 kudos, which I know is small fry for a lot of the more well-subscribed writers but feels like a massive deal to me.

Most popular multi-chapter story: I’m going by number of kudos again! To Keep You, one of my Scorbus multi-chapters, has ONE more kudo than Safe, which is my current WIP in the God’s Own Country fandom!

Favourite story you’ve written: This is really hard to answer. I’m proud of them all for different reasons, and they’re all flawed. I have a soft spot for A World Still Turning in the ‘Adoby’ fandom because it was the first I ever published and that took a lot of courage. But because it's the first it’s probably fair to say it’s not the best. I hope I’ve got better rather than worse since then . . . I’m proud of How D’You Say because it was a challenge to myself to write something coherent in 200 words. It’s not very popular but I’m still proud of it.

Story you were nervous to post: The first one, A World Still Turning, because . . . it was first. And all the others because I’m always nervous to post! I was very anxious about He Loves Like This because I know the Drarry fandom is massive and passionate and I was convinced I would get abuse for it. But I haven’t yet. And My Passion Tranquil, a Scorbus fic, because it was a gift for @mavis-bluemoon so I wanted them to like it! But, yeah, always nervous.

How do you choose your titles: Various ways. It might be a feeling I hope the story conveys, or something else - a phrase or thought - from within the story. Anything. I don't have a system.

Do you outline: Yes for multi-chapters. For one-shots it tends to be more write and see what comes out, then redraft and redraft till I’m sick of it.

Complete: 16

In-progress: Difficult one to answer. Two published works are still WIP, but I’ve got several other things still unpublished that I’m working on.

Coming soon/not yet started: A couple more God’s Own Country one-shots in the pipeline, and a few Scorbus bits and pieces too. Several pairings in Game of Thrones that I want to publish but I’m not sure how well-received they’d be - big fandom with lots of strong opinions! I’ve also written something between Kit and Kate from the BBC comedy Upstart Crow, but I’m not sure there's much of a demand for that! It was fun, though.

Do you accept prompts: Absolutely. Time is limited right now but if a prompt speaks to me I’ll always try to write to it, even if it takes me an age.

Upcoming story you are most excited to write: Hmm. There’s a specific God’s Own Country one-shot that I’ve only done notes for but I’m looking forward to writing it properly once Safe is finished.
