Fighting side by side until the end ⚔️

I was attempting to get a screenshot I preferred for a post I have been working on. I will definitely be using one of these but I hadn't done combat shots like this before so I wanted to share some of Adin and Astarion fighting together. There are a few in there as well that were to showcase his spider wild shape but I didn't end up needing or using those in anything as of yet.

Here's a little "sneak peak" of the full post I made these for in the first place. This part is referring to Adin and Astarion's relationship: 'They are each other's ride or die, and have a habit of gravitating around each other constantly, including in battle. If someone happens to hurt one or the other, their lover will retaliate by blade, spell, spider, or owl bear.'

Happy Birthday to our separated at birth drow twins! Adin and Mazlyn's birthday is Kythorn 20, 1459 DR. This is the summer solstice and happens to be in the Time of Flowers. It worked out kind of funny when I was deciding, because I knew immediately I wanted them to be in spring or summer, and a Gemini. After that, when I realized the solstice fell under that umbrella, it fit too well to not go with it.

There is something weird about Adin. He's not a normal drow. Green hair, a green eye, and a druid? Something has to be going on... And yet Adin tends to pretend none of that exists and would prefer to pretend he isn't something special. He's never felt special anyways. Astarion of course insists on proving him otherwise.

Prompt: Does your Tav/Durge believe in Fate?

𝘈𝘥𝘪𝘯 𝘋𝘢𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘯'𝘭𝘺𝘳 Yes, whole heartedly. If he doubted it before he met Astarion, he never will again now that he has found him. He believes Astarion is his soulmate after all, and one cannot believe that without believing in fate, right? (His logic) Life will take him where it is meant to, and in the meantime he plans to enjoy the ride.

ƈʏʀɨʟ, ֆօռ օʄ ƈʏʀɨƈ While Cyril does believe in destiny, he doesn't believe something is fated to the point of being unable to be changed. He thinks maybe certain events are fixed points, and that maybe everyone has a reason for existing in the world, but will that reason happen without a shadow of a doubt? Not necessarily.

𝕍𝕒𝕝𝕠𝕣 I would say Valor is a skeptic. He's not so sure fate or destiny are really a thing or if it is all just a matter of coincidence. Fate and destiny are fantasies people use as motivators and things to give people hope, but in the long run everything is up to choice. That being said, some things in Valor's life has made him question this from time to time, and maybe one day the right thing will happen that will finally change his mind completely.

Adin, Circle of Spores

TW: arachnophobia

Adin's main wild shape is first and foremost a spider. Recon? Tiny spider. Fighting? Giant venomous spider. Scaring the shit out of his brother? Giant wolf spider. This is the form that he remained stuck in for some time after his parents died, and if he could be nothing but a spider again, he would make it work just fine.

Owlbear, another heavy hitter of course. He wouldn't remain in this form longer than he had to, but he knows the power of an owlbear can sometimes be unmatched. Crushing flight works wonders. Once whatever he is fighting is dead, he would shift back to two legs again.

A simple housecat is a shape he takes when he is feeling especially snuggly. There would be times when someone would find him curled up like this by Astarion's shoulder or in his lap. A more vulnerable form that very few people would get the pleasure of seeing.

While tadpoled Adin would enjoy the displacer beast form a lot. He used the zaith'isk and then became a partial illithid later on, making this form easy to take in the stead of a wild shape.

The raven is also a case by case situation. If he needs to fly and sneak around doing so, this form or maybe a house fly would be ideal. Again not something he would use all that often, but one that would come in handy from time to time and that necklace in Act 3 would give him the free casting to do so, so he would take advantage of the opportunity.

Bonus: In any universe where he actually ascends Astarion, they would snuggle in bat and raven form.
