ɪɴᴛʀᴏᴅᴜᴄɪɴɢ: ᴛᴇᴀɢᴀɴ ʙᴀᴇɴʀᴇ
Due to a recent urge to start a new honor mode, I ended up crafting a new Lolth-sworm drow who morphed into Minthara's son before I even left the character creator. He's older than Adin, a sorcerer born during the spell plague. Since he started out his life without his powers, he was first trained to be a rogue.
By the time he got his powers, it was clear he had to figure them out or die trying. This is something he even explains to Gale, when Gale and him have a conversation about magic early on in their journey. Having proper training in school, reading books on magic, it wasn't the way he learned his skills. He was already a rogue by then, and already talented in killing before his powers made their appearance.
With Minthara as his mother, he has both poison resistance training and is a proper Lolth-sworn.. at least until she turns away from Lolth and he meets Shadowheart, a woman also struggling between the religion she has always known, and what she should have or could have been...
So far he has turned everyone he can back to the spider queen, but I am to the point where he would begin to question things. I've made it to the Shadowcursed lands, and the two have had the first real conversation about her doubts toward Shar. Meanwhile Lae'zel and Gale are his best friends, and even have their own religious struggles. Vlaakith and Lolth... Are they really that different?
As for the Dream Guardian? Well... Teagan may not be completely stupid, but when it comes to the beautiful Lolth-sworn he sees in his dreams? He's a bit naive. He wants to believe her, and he embraces the tadpoles at every turn. He even earned his 'True Soul' tag from using it so much. Despite his trust in the guardian, he still attempted to remove it twice. He watched Volo stab Gale's eye out, so it clearly wasn't that solution... Then Omeluum offered the chance for more answers and he already had the potion ingredients needed, but that was a dead end too.
Finally despite the warnings and his gut telling him the githyanki don't have answers... He attempted the zaith'isk himself. The guardian protects him again, of course, but he finds he can't even fully regret either choice to attempt to remove it, considering all of the power the tadpole keeps bringing him, and each attempt at its removal has only proven to benefit him in the end...

Does your Durge feel like a danger to the party?
Short answer for both: Yes.
ƈʏʀɨʟ, ֆօռ օʄ ƈʏʀɨƈ
Cyril is way more in control than he gives himself credit for, and is actually not really that big of a threat to the party these days. However he feels that pull, that desperate urge to kill both Gale and Osiris, quite literally all of the time. It terrifies him, because the people he wants to kill the most are also the two people he's grown closest to in all of this.
So he makes a big deal of telling them he is a threat, and finding ways the two can subdue him. Osiris dying is less of a danger, because the two have always been very evenly matched. Even if he killed Osiris, he would snap out of it afterwards and go beg Withers to revive him if he couldn't himself.
Gale though... He's explosive. A danger to the entire camp and Cyril wants it so fucking badly. The problem with his desire to kill the wizard other than killing everyone else- maybe even himself- with the orb is that he also wants to love him. His urges go beyond murder with the former Mystra's chosen, and the urge to fuck Gale is way higher than his urge to kill him... And slowly getting worse and worse the more he realizes just how wonderful Gale truly is.
Unfortunately for the whole camp, Cyril will risk everyone's safety to fuck the wizard. At least it goes well for them.
𝔑𝔶𝔵, 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔇𝔞𝔲𝔤𝔥𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔬𝔣 𝔅𝔥𝔞𝔞𝔩
Nyx is a danger to the whole camp. Quite literally could just change her mind tomorrow and kill them all. The thought doesn't really bother her until late Act 1, around the time she realizes she fucked up and actually cares about Gale. Even then, by that point she feels more confident she can at least protect him, so she doesn't concern herself. If Gale makes it, that is all that matters. Her heart wouldn't cry for anyone else.
Well, maybe Shadowheart would be a loss. She loves her corrupted cleric best friend. She would miss doing each other's hair and talking about almost anything together until the early hours of the morning.
What lies does your Durge tell the camp to stay included?
𝔑𝔶𝔵, 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔇𝔞𝔲𝔤𝔥𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔬𝔣 𝔅𝔥𝔞𝔞𝔩
Nyx is a grade A manipulative bitch through basically all of Act 1 and Act 2. The lies she tells the most however, are the ones she tells to keep Gale. The other camp mates don't matter or don't care about her behavior. Wyll, Karlach, Lae'zel... They can leave. The door is right there.
Shadowheart, Astarion, and her canon bard best friend Melniir? They care very little or at least are smart enough to stick around. Gale... She had to lie to Gale over and over. She pretended to care about the grove and the people there time and time again, up until she raided it with Minthara. She lied to Gale then too, convinced him that he needed her to survive and that they were better together - and unstoppable force.
So the lies she told the most...
"I'm sorry." "It had to be done." "I couldn't fight it, I couldn't control myself." "I don't want to hurt people. I'm a cleric. I want to heal them." Etc, etc
ƈʏʀɨʟ, ֆօռ օʄ ƈʏʀɨƈ
Cyril however, he doesn't actually have to lie to the group at all. Son of the prince of lies, and yet... They all actually see his pain. They all care enough to sit around the campfire and hear the stories. He's come a long way long before this, Minsc and Jaheria willing. He cares about them, they care about him. It's a rocky road, because everyone is aware he's a murderous maniac and so is his best friend, the bhaalspawn...
But they see how much both of them want to change. How hard it is to reach out. They make questionable choices, sure.. but they aren't above hope.
The lies Cyril tells during the events of the game, those are all to himself.
"I'm not in love with Osiris, it's just the urges making us do this." "Cyric's influence is the only reason I love them." "Cyric is my father, and I love him." "One day I can cure Cyric of his madness, and he can take his place back, and I won't have to face the Gods or the destiny he made for me." Cyric this.. Cyric that... All of them have to face their destiny eventually.
Cyril just gets to wait until after the game to do that.
Normal work conversations.

Gender Swap! 💕
Tagged by @cursed-nyxan to do a gender swap challenge with my Tavs! This was so so fun and I loved the results!!
Jocasta and Joe
Two halves of a whole idiot, these two will get along perfectly. Big, strong, well meaning, excellent with archery, and they're always on the same wavelength. Whats better than one kindhearted rogue? Two, of course!🔥
Nirvana and Nirvan
If anybody would flirt with their double, it would be Nirvana. Somewhere in the distance, if you listen closely, you can hear Rolan banging his head against the wall in frustration that there are two of them now. 🤭
Xiamara and Xio
Double the swords, double the muscle, double the fun! And they still share only one brain cell. At least you will never find a more protective duo. Somewhere in the Hells, Raphael is angrier than he's ever been in his life.
Cassian and Cassidy
An entitled prince and a diva princess. Both look equally smug and irritating as the other, and I'm certain the rest of the camp agrees. I'm choosing to ignore how scarily similar Female Cassian looks to Unaek 🤭🫣
Achlys and Atlas
Funny enough, I was already planning on giving Achlys a brother. This was the perfect excuse. Achlys would see this as a total win, having someone equally as interested in history. One of them can focus solely on the ritual of talking to the dead, and the other can take notes! It's perfect!
Cutlass and Saber
Cutlass had a momentary lapse of "is it wrong to flirt with your gender swapped double?" But either way, the Pirate Captain has met his match. At least he will always have someone just as in tune to the sea as he is!
Rhapsody and Harmony
Well if Cutlass gets a double, then Rhapsody needs one too! And of course he is cooler and even MORE in sync with his double than Cutlass is. These two have the most perfect harmonies. And the most atrocious fashion sense 🤭
Crash and Thud
I tried making Crash with his female double, and I ended up making two parents I wish i could be adopted by. This is just mom and dad right here. I can guarantee those Tiefling children have never been safer 🥰
Unaek and Sage
The sweetest duo to ever grace Faerûn. You get not only one Druid Best Friend, but two! They love flowers, nature, and animals. I think every creature in the realm will be adopted by these two!
This was such a cute challenge and I honestly want to do more with these guys! They are all soooo adorable! What duo would you most want to hang out with? My vote goes to Jo and Joe, or Unaek and Sage 🤭

RULES: Show a picture of your OC, then 4 pictures and songs you think match their vibe. If anyone wants context, they can inquire in the comments.
I've been passing this one around for Dragon Age already, but I also want to share it with my Baldur's Gate friends too! I already have this started for a good handful of OCs so I don't know if I plan to tag every time, or maybe just tag a few each time... don't really know... anyways...
My no pressure tags for this one will be @wasted-sam @mogruith @onlytavs @baelthi and @spillingteanotpermitted. I do specifically request @citruskushh do this one for Mazlyn as well, and then I'll probably tag them again for Osiris on Cyril's
Do you think redemption is possible for your Durge, or is that something only people with clean hands and an intact memory get to believe in?

𝐍𝐲𝐱, 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐚𝐥
In truth, I think Nyx always wanted a way out, but wasn't brave enough to say no for a very long time. During her struggles through the game she even continues to give in, over and over again. She raided the grove, claimed Isobel on behalf of her father, became the slayer...
Gortash would have rather drowned together than defy his own master, but Gale... Gale was an inspiration to her, and something to fight for. His ambitions, the way he lit up about his talking for the crown, for a better world and pantheon. He made it sound easier, achievable. Without him, or someone like him, supporting her? She would never have had the strength to reject Bhaal on her own.
ƈʏʀɨʟ, ȶɦɛ ƈɦɨʟɖ օʄ ƈʏʀɨƈ
Cyril is a unique case. While he is a haunted soul in the same way bhaalspawn are, his father has his own... Quirks. Before Cyric 's imprisonment he had so many doubts he would ever be free. Minsc and Jaheria became the only solid thing in his life that felt safe, that he could depend on. Then Cyric does as Cyric does... And kills the goddess of magic. Cyril had never felt weaker than that moment. After all, what was a wizard cleric without their magic?
The shining light however, was that it was followed by his father's imprisonment. This kept his father more at arms length and despite Cyril hearing him in his head, this still limited the influence he could have over his Cyril.
Clawing his way out of the metaphorical hole his father left him in, he becomes a fighter too, gains muscle, gains hope. With Jaheria and Minsc as his support, and his magic then soon restored... He felt he could do anything. The question was... Did he want to? Cyril loves his father, very much. Too much maybe. Even by the time Osiris rejects Bhaal, Cyril still has not let go. But after the Netherbrain, after they save the city, he sees how free Osiris is... Gale is... Astarion is...
And that leaves him feeling there is truly no other choice... he knows what he must do.
(Credit to @citruskushh for both Cyril's bhaalspawn, Osiris, and the aesthetically pleasing photo of Cyril I used for this post)

( Osiris stands in front of Cyril , Astarion, and Gale )
I would say that Redemption would be a goal that he would like to achieve. Even hundreds of years after the events of the game, Osiris would still question whether or not he really deserves to live.
If Osiris hadn't had the support system that he did, he would not have seen redemption as even a possibility. He spends a lot of act 1 thinking that he can't fix himself, and that the others are disgusted by him. After killing the wandering dragonborn at camp (I actually refuse to kill alfira) , Osiris is sat down by his friend Cyril and told exactly what he is and how the two of them a long time ago, as well as Astarion of course making it known that they'd met some handful of times before this as well. Having the Son of Cyric as his best friend and watching the way the aasimar struggles with his relationship to his own father; it helps Osiris view his own situation in the same way instead of letting it consume him.
After he is freed from Bhaal, and after the netherbrain is defeated, Osiris is finally able to come to terms with his memories and his past and the way it defines him.
He doesn't necessarily think he is redeemed, but he tries to be worthy of redemption.

This mod allows you to save Gortash, have him as your ally in final quest and adds a whole new ending with cutscene for him
Okay I thought to just kill this mod and move on, but I've managed to fix it! And I should have probably created new mod page for it, but I'm lazy to refill everything once again, plus it anyway won't get much downloads, so fuck everything, I'm re-releasing it and go to rest, lol
Have been working on Ellie’s story this week, and I can never resist taking some extra shots in this light. 🥰 So have an obligatory wizard-in-beautiful-lighting image today.
