Admin here! Just popping by to say that one of the best nights I've had this month has been shopping for scandi home decor online, drinking a very nice bottle of red, and listening to A Different Kind of Fix on loop. Would highly recommend
-L xxx
I have to say I was really intrigued by what you shared about your a/b/o WIP, but I'm really dying to hear a bit of what's coming for "A Different Kind of Fun" ;)
I'm so glad my vague a/b/o idea has intrigued you! Let's hope it continues to intrigue the muse, lol
I feel like before I can share anything about adkof I have to apologize for leaving it for so long. I really don't know what happened. I just... hit a wall with it. That said... I HAVE started on the next chapter, so hope is not lost for the fic! I'm not sure if I'll continue to post chapters as I finish them, or if I'll wait and only start updating again once I have the entire thing finished, so I don't leave y'all hanging again. For now... here's a little snippet from Chapter Five!
A hiss fell from Killian’s split lip when Emma began applying the stage make-up to his blackened eye.
“Hold still ya big baby,” Emma teased, her focus remaining on the task at hand. “It’s not that bad.”
He knew she was referring to his pain, but as Killian looked past her to the mirror, surrounded by blinding lights, in her dressing room at the Storybrooke Theatre, he was relieved to see the bruises weren’t so bad either.
“I don’t get why you just let him pummel you like,” Ruby chimed in from where she was perched on one of Emma’s co-star’s vanity stations. “Graham said you laid out Walsh with a single punch, why not introduce Neal to that wicked left hook?”
“Because Rob would have had my arse if I’d broken my hand the day we’re meant to have our final audition for the tour,” Killian explained, having already had the conversation with Emma earlier back on his boat, with a bag of frozen peas pressed against his face. “I’m already gonna get an earful for the lip.”
“Well,” Emma sighed, stepping back to admire her work. “I can’t do anything about the lip, but I dare anyone to spot your black eye, thanks to my expert stage make-up skills.”
Slipping his arms around her waist, Killian pulled Emma onto his lap and pressed his lips to hers. Which probably wasn’t the best idea, but the fresh sting from the cut was absolutely worth it.
“Ugh,” Ruby admonished, her wolfish grin negating her professed disgust. “Get a room.”
“This is Emma’s dressing room,” Killian muttered churlishly against his Swan’s lips. “Her name is on the door. I don’t believe I saw yours there, however, so feel free to leave at any point.”
Emma giggled against his mouth, and he nipped her bottom lip before pulling back, knowing they didn’t have time to engage in more enjoyable activities, even without the third wheel presence.

WIP #3 is my cssns Sleepy Hollow AU, Some Legends are Best Kept as Legends which will be updating later today (edits pending)! Since I finished the chapter yesterday, I haven’t sprinted on it today, so I’m sharing a bit from what I wrote yesterday. Hope that’s okay!
“So…” Killian drawled, whipping her attention back to him. “You believe my tale?”
Releasing the grip her teeth had on her lip, Emma blew out a breath and admitted,” I don’t know what to believe.” She leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest. “But I don’t know how to explain what I saw, either, so… I guess I’m willing to take a leap of faith.”
Killian’s shoulders sagged in relief and he gave her a grateful smile. “Thank you, Emma.”
“Deputy Swan,” she corrected, figuring he knew her name from when David had said it before. “Just because I’m willing to take a chance on you, doesn’t mean I can just let you go.” She stood and removed the cuff keys from her pocket, unlocking the ones that had him restrained to the table but keeping the other set firmly clasped around his wrists. “I need to corroborate your story.”
WIP #4 is my band au, A Different Kind of Fun. Here’s a quick snippet from the upcoming chapter:
Once he was confident with the boat’s position he stepped aboard and turned back to Emma who was patiently waiting on the dock with a sly smirk on her lips.
“Do I have your permission to come aboard, Captain?”
Killian pulled her up on deck and into his arms. Hitching his brows at her, he purred, “It will be my pleasure to have you come whilst aboard, love.”
Emma’s laugh echoed over the water, harmonizing with his deep chuckle before he led them below. It was a tight fit, with only enough room for them to stand single file rather than side by side. As soon as Emma made her way off the last step, he positioned her in front him, snaking his arms around her waist and guiding them through the space towards the back of the boat.
Send me a number 1-6 and I’ll share a snippet after sprinting on the corresponding WIP.
