"Lucy is gonna get kidnapped" "Tim is going to almost die!"
It's actually a secret third thing!
I'm just really angry about how they handled Catherine's storyline.
This has nothing to do with the ship, or her relationship with Jackson, or what I, as a shipper, might expect. My fav character is Catherine; I care about her, and I'm really bothered by how they constantly erase her from the story.
They already did it in season 3, when they completely changed Donovan's character, again taking away Catherine's backstory. And now at the end of season 5! I mean, they're really not interested in the character, and that makes me really sad. She's such a juicy character in the books, and when you try to pigeonhole her, you realize she's something else entirely. Everything we know about her we know from the books; the series gives us absolutely nothing.
And it's true they make a lot of changes in the series; perhaps they move the incredible scene between Diana and Catherine to another moment, but it doesn't matter because it won't be the same. That scene was crucial for the characters, not only for Catherine and her relationship with Charles and Jackson, but also for Diana. In the book, Diana is angry with Jackson and hurts him by telling Catherine the truth. Catherine, whom Diana always used to blackmail Jackson. And all that it's been erased. Here, Jackson and Diana end up talking on the phone, almost happy!
I don't know, I'm just tired of Catherine being erased from the story, of her character not being as "important" as Jackson. I understand that a series has less time, but it's just too much they cut out. Instead of inventing stories from Lamb's past that aren't in the books, they could give us real stories from both of their pasts.
I'm going back to the books, that's the canon.
