89. Coffee and Vanilla (2019)

Type: Japanese Drama

Personal Opinion: 3/10

Synopsis: This drama is about a young college student named Risa who meets an older man in a cafe and falls in love with him. The man Hiroto falls head over heels with Risa and cares for her alot. Although Risa may not be reliable and a capable future wife for Hiroto, she is working really hard to improve herself.

Opinion: I think this drama is a really good mindless drama, because there was no strong substance. I think this drama tried to add all the elements in a romance drama all in 10 episodes but I think it was executed very poorly. Of everything, I think that there was just no plotline in this story, each episode had something different that just didn't flow well. Some characters in the drama were just stale and didn't really add much to the story. The acting was pretty good though, but the story in this drama just didn't make much sense in my opinion. So that's why I give this drama a 3/10.

80. It's ok to not be okay (2020)

Type: Korean Drama

Personal Opinion: 9/10

cSynopsis: This drama is about a young writer who is known to be very lonely. She meets a man who she realizes was the young boy who she saved when she was younger. Their encounters makes her believe in fate, but the man believed it was an ill-fated relationship. They both have experienced many obstacles involving Ko Mun-Young's (played by Seo Ye-Ji) parents and she ends up being attached to Moon Gang-Tae (played by Kim Soo Hyun) and his brother.

Personal Opinion: I found this drama to be very unique and interesting. The overall story seemed a bit cliche, but the way the drama portrayed this storyline made this drama to be unique. The acting was amazingly portrayed and I could feel the emotions that the actors very well. The main character showed great chemistry and I really like the fashion and the setting of this drama. I deducted 1 point from this drama because there were some questions that never got answered in this drama. I also really enjoyed the OSTs of this drama too!

84. Itaewon Class (2020)

Type: Korean Drama

Personal Opinion: 8.5/10

Synopsis: This drama is about a young boy who stands up to bullying just to get put in jail after assaulting the murderer of his father. Park Sae-Ro-Yi is a strong man who takes his time to pursuing his goals: Revenge and Success. He grew into a man who changed his goals in order to take on the CEO and founder of Jangga Co. He begins his restaurant pub start-up 'Dan-Bam'. He meets a younger woman about 10 years younger than her and she began to help build up his small pub into a successful franchise.

Opinion: This drama was pretty unique to me in many ways. I loved the acting of the actors and I loved how most of the actors were very dynamic. Something that truly gave me much praise towards this drama would be how this drama addressed many social taboos such as homophobia, sexism, and racism, which is something that we don't usually see in k-dramas. One thing that I didn't like was their main characters' chemistry with each other. To me, their connection wasn't very strong and the romance felt very stale, making me take major points off of this drama. I also felt that this drama was based around pride and not being able to get on your knees and apologizing which I didn't really understand because that one factor led him to change his entire life course. I did learn many things from this drama so I think it's something I would recommend but I do think there are better options if you're looking for better romantic chemistry.

75. Extraordinary You (2019)

Type: Korean Drama

Personal Rating: 7/10

Synopsis: This drama is about a young girl who soon realizes that she's living in a comic world. She thinks that she's the main character of the story, but she's actually an extra. She meets another extra and they help each other change the story. The young girl Eun Dan Oh (played by Kim Hye Yoon) is terminally ill so she does whatever she can to stay alive for longer. She doesn't realize the consequences of doing that though.

Personal Opinion: At first, I really enjoyed this drama. It's very unique with a plotline that I've never seen before. The OST was also really cute but it's not something that I'd want to replay though. The acting was soo cute and believable. Many parts weren't awkward at all. After the first 10 episode, the episodes began to feel slow. I felt like the drama was dragging by then. Besides that I really enjoyed the drama! It's really cute and very fantasy like. There's no spicy scenes, it's more school-like and innocent.

71: True Beauty (2020-2021)

Type: Korean Drama

Personal Rating: 10/10 (HAS A PERSONAL PLACE IN MY HEART)

Synopsis: This drama is mainly about a young high school student who gets bullied because of her looks, Because of some coincidences, she has to move schools, during that time, she discovers how to use makeup. She moves to her new school looking like an angel. She gets new friends and a smart student sees her at the comic book shop with her bare face. She does what she can to keep it a secret.

Opinion: This drama has a special place in my heart personally. With memories of feeling left out when I was younger, I felt a strong connection with Lim Ju Kyung (the main character, played by Moon Ka Young). At first, I thought this drama was cringy, but after the next couple of episodes, I started to fall in love with this drama. All the actors did an amazing job with the acting, and I could feel the emotions across the screen. Many people could say this drama is cringy, and i thought it was cringy too, but I loved the message that this drama portrayed and the chemistry between the actors. OVERALL LOVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO REWATCH IT IN THE FUTURE.

77. Shopping King Louie (2016)

Type: Korean Drama

Personal Opinion: 10/10 Objectively: 9/10

Synopsis: This drama is about a rich young man who lives in Europe who unexpectedly goes to Korea because his grandmother is sick. He gets into a car accident but ends up losing his memory. He meets a woman who travels to Seoul to look for her brother who ran away. She meets the rich man named Louis and decides to take care of him as he may have clues that may lead to her brother.

Personal Opinion: I honestly love both Nam Ji Hyun and Seo In Guk in general so I knew I was going to like this drama, but I didn't know that this drama would be this good. Their chemistry was so good. I actually like these types of plots, although I don't think this drama did a good job executing the suspense I still enjoyed this drama nonetheless. That's why I put on objective rating too. The drama had lots of comedy and humor and it made me laugh so much.

88. My ID Is Gangnam Beauty (2018)

Type: Korean Drama

Personal Opinion: 8.5/10

Synopsis: This drama is about a young woman named Kang Mi Rae who just started college after getting plastic surgery. Kang Mi Rae just wants to live an ordinary life without having to get bullied because of not reaching society's beauty standards. After thinking she'll live a new life, she meets Do Kyung Seok who used to go to her middle school, she worries that he'll tell the whole school about how she looked like in the past. After breaking out of her shell, they both become friends but Do Kyung Seok doesn't wanna only stay as friends.

Opinion: This drama was similar to "True Beauty" which I really loved and enjoyed. Although the plot wasn't unique, I liked the meaning of this drama and I was happy to see that there wasn't any filler episodes in this drama either. I also think the 2 main leads had really good chemistry together too. The OST was also really nice and suited the drama really well. Some of the characters in the drama were pretty static and didn't have much substance to it though. I also thought that the suspense in this drama was a bit abrupt and didn't necessarily flow in the drama well. Overall, I really liked this drama but I think "True Beauty" had a better storyline, but this drama is a good option though.

63: The Penthouse (2020)

Type: Korean Drama

Personal Rating: 10/10

Synopsis: The Penthouse is about a group of extremely rich people that all live together in a penthouse suite. There is a young girl who becomes a tutor for the richest family in the penthouse, but she gets killed through many different conflicts revolving other rich jaebols int he penthouse. The story then becomes a mystery as to who killed the tutor (Min Seol A) and why.

Opinion: This drama is sooo good! I watched this drama in real time every week which is really rare because I like to binge dramas in a sitting, but this drama was too good to wait. The suspense that was in this drama was so interesting. I had no clue who the killer was and all my guesses were wrong which means that this drama wasn't obvious at all. The actors did such a good gob acting and I loved the setting for everything. I will for sure be watching season 2 when it comes out.
