[ Tai ] Went downtown with the youngins, had quite a blast!
Tai, which of the other members AREN'T Korean at all? Which members are just not full Korean? Anyone you share a similar culture to that you get along with well?
“Well, I know Jiehyo’s mainly Chinese. Don’t know about the other members though-”
other than korean, do some of the members speak other languages? (sry this is a confusing question)
“These are the other members that I know that speak other languages than Korean. GG, or Jihye-unnie knows Japanese and some English. Aaron-ah also knows English. I know English since I used to live in LA, and learned Chinese since I felt like it. The jewel in our crown is really 2-bit, or Jae-oppa. He knows Japanese, Chinese and English. Damn, please appreciate our talented leader, everyone!”
“Happy Chinese New Year! May you be prosperous with good fortune and health. The year of the dog be with you!”
Miss Tai, what was lifeeling like in LA before moving to South Korea?
“Life in LA? It was alright and all. But- there’s so much more to talk about after I moved, which was around…three years ago? But yeah, I rapped out of my own vigor, performing in talent shows and around the crew I got assimilated into.”
“Then there’s the customs. I have to be a lot more considerate, can’t swear as much as I do like I did in the US, and it just- took some time getting used to. Since I grew up in a mainly Korean environment back in LA, I was pretty chill with the food. There’s a lot to take overall from being street-casted and training.Dancing and dieting became the norm. Waking up to deliver fan-service and charisma. I also learned proper breathing techniques for rapping, which helped me out a bunch.”
“Now that I’m here, in the place of my heritage, I’m actually beginning to embrace myself more than I used to. I no longer went by Taylor, my English name, and took pride in my birth name- Chunfan. It builds up so much- like what you always tried to hide is now the thing you have joy in. And I’m out here, doing that. That, I think, is something I wouldn’t have discovered if I never took this opportunity.”
tai what exactly inspired your fashion sense
“And to answer your question- Gucci.”
