“Takanobu, I really shouldn’t stay. My parents willworry.”
“Remind them that my parents are home. (Name), I can’t send you backhome with all the wind and snow out there. It’s too cold.”
They gave afrustrated sigh. It’s not that they didn’t want to stay at their boyfriend’shouse, because god knows they would love nothing more than to share one ofthose domestic, romantic moments with hot cocoa and snuggling by the fire, butthey had to keep in mind how their parents would feel. Any parent would feel iffywith their teenage child staying the night at their significant other’s house.
But on the other hand, their parents had to be concerned for the wellbeing oftheir child and they would probably much prefer the possibility of teenage sexto their child walking home in the snowy, windy dark. With the way it waspiling up outside, there was a guarantee that school would be cancelledtomorrow.
With another sigh, this time more relenting, they pulled out theirphone.
“Alright ‘Nobu… Can I stay the night? For sure?”
He lit up in his ownAone-way, light blush spreading across his cheeks and twinkle in his eye as henodded.
“I’ll set up a futon for you- no- wait! You can take my bed, I’ll takethe futon in the living room!”
“Aone, relax. We can share your room.” Theygiggled. “We can keep much warmer with the two of us together.”
With the rain pouring outside with no sign of stoppingand the lightning flashes brightening the room, Daichi knew the pounding on hisfront door was a bad sign.
He opened the door nonetheless, unable to tell if hewas relieved or even more unsettled when he saw his lover, soaking wet andshivering. With the rain pouring the way it was, he was unsure of whether thosewere tears or rain drops on their face.
He immediately pulled them through thedoor and into the warm apartment, leading them to the bathroom down the hall tosit on the toilet seat while he grabbed fluffy towels to help them dry off.
“I’ll be right back with some dry, warm clothes.” He told them before quicklyrunning to his room to grab the warmest sweater and sweatpants he owned andbringing it back to them like an eager retriever. At the sight of theirnow-dried face, he could confirm that they were, in fact, tears.
“(Name), whywere you out there? Is everything alright?”
They gave a shaking sigh beforenodding. “I… Can I stay the night?”
“Of course, but please just tell me why youcame all the way out here like this.”
“Because I was scared.”
“You werescared?”
“I’m afraid of thunderstorms.” They gave a bit of an embarrassedblush, looking towards the ground.
Daichi set a warm, gentle hand on theirshoulder, “Hey, that’s alright. I’ll hold you and protect you.” He kissed theirforehead and wiped their drying tear tracks.
“I won’t ever let anything hurtyou.”

Hi there, thanks for your interest in the RP! ‘Preferably POC’, now that’s definitely something we like to hear! The admin team have just been discussing how important it is that we start working towards diversifying this group some more, and this is a good place to start.
Obviously we’ve got our Wanted FCs list, but as long as they don’t fall into the categories outlined on our Banned FCs page (and assuming they have enough gifs to use), you’re welcome to use any FC you like! We are definitely looking for a few older faces here in Chicago too, so that may be something you’d like to consider as well.
Now for some actual suggestions! I know Admin Frankie and I are both very keen to see a Ruth Negga around here, but here are a few more FCs for your consideration...
