Aster Podcasting Network's SCARY STORIES Application 2019

Interested in telling a short horror story with Aster Podcasting Network? Want to get involved with the audio drama community and don't know where to start? You've come to the right place! We're looking to host YOUR short-form horror stories with Aster Podcasting Network this October! You can apply as a WRITER or VOICE ACTOR for this event. Hi, I’m Eli Ramos! Last year when I was debuting as a writer (and audio editor) with Aster Podcasting, I wrote the horror story “HA HA HA”! It was a great experience and taught me a lot about working in audio and gave me a chance to write a short story in a limited amount of time.

This year, I want to give you all the chance to do that! The form above is for both WRITERS and ACTORS--please submit your short audio horror story pitches or your audition reels and let us help you make a great project a reality! Pitches must be done by October 8th!

Raising the Dead Again is on indefinite hiatus.

We regret to say that @raisingthedeadagain will no longer be running for the time being. The official statement on RTDA’s twitter [link] from Jeremy Andre was:

“I hate to do this - but I’m putting RTDA on an indefinite hiatus. We’ll return eventually (probably do a whole redo of RTDA) in the future when there is lesss stressors on us than there are right now. RTDA has gone from a project that the cast enjoyed to a main source of anxiety for its creators, so I believe this is really for the best. When we get to remaking, or if we make a new podcast at some point in the future, you will all be updated! The cast just has been having issues and annoyance all around. We love you guys, and we’re really sorry we had to do this. Good luck all of you!“

As Aster Podcasting Network moves forward, we hope to add new shows to our family and make this network’s mission a reality with every new podcast!

We’re revamping the Aster Podcasting Network page--updating some information, rewriting our about, and trying to make it more accessible as well! If you haven’t stopped by our page in a while, check it out! Eli (who you may recognize as the voice of Quincy in Raising the Dead Again) is now helping to run this page.

As of August 12th, 2018, Jeremy is still undergoing health issues, which means slower production on some of the projects.

However, we are still casting for Jinxed!

Raising the Dead Again will be returning from hiatus soon.

Will you be responding to the ‘join the network’ form as well, or are you just responding to the spooky stories one?

We don’t have a Google Form for joining our network, but we accept submissions to join the network on a rolling basis! If you haven’t heard back from us within three days of sending an email, we likely didn’t get it and you’ll have to send it again.

Okay so this may sound a bit weird. But i have an idea for a podcast that i really enjoy writing for, but i was doing everything by myself and it was really weighing on me so i had to stop. So i was wondering if i pitched the idea to you and you liked it could i just write it and somebody else did the voice acting and editing? I really love my baby and i already have like 4 episodes written out. Its just trying to voice multiple characters and edit and write is allot for one person to do alone

This isn’t a weird pitch at all--it’s exactly what I’ve been doing, since we currently are only producing one active show and Aster Podcasting Network wants to tell lots of different stories! We would love to see if you could write for RTDA or Jinxed as well, since it’s great if you can do double duty.
