β A time where noah had to sleep on the couch.

He supposed, in a way, that it was partially his fault. He would argue, however, that she’s the one that managed to muck it up this spectacularly, for if she hadn’t, then they wouldn’t have this problem. Two children meant that when one woke up and began crying, you could be assured that not too much longer the other would wake up, seeing as the two shared a room. All that was left to them was to separate and rock them back to sleep- Separately much to his distaste. He merely hoped that she had gotten more luck getting Tammy to sleep than he was getting Anah.
pfffft figured that one. Do they actually know how tall she is? And I'm looking at like, personality and outward appearance. First impressions are so very important. They let me figure out just how loudly maggie is gonna squeak when shes confronted with these giants.
Well, both are very intimidating. They’re named for Mars and Artemis, both gods of war. For his species, they’re often hailed as gods or goddesses on the battlefield and they go down into legend over time for their exploits. Really, they’re just a race of tall muscular people on the planet Hyperion who have a love for fighting. They’re species are called Titans.
Martius would be quiet and come off like hems pissed all the time. He’s older looking than Koz, physically looks to be early to late forties, with longer straight hair with some braids, and sharp piercing gold eyes. He’s a man of few words and speaks more through actions.
Athene at least tries to appear pleasant with a smile and has a certain grace about her. Her movements are calculated and no action taken without An amount of forethought. Her hair is silver and worn up into a tight bun, ice cold blue eyes, and physically appears to be in her early thirties.
They wouldn’t know Maggie is short unless they met or was informed before hand. There are no families in Hyperion, not in the sense we understand. They’re called family units and certain units fall beneath a tribe. They don’t understand ‘mother’ or ‘father’, 'son’ and 'daughter’. They become aware of what it can mean through traveling but, mostly, they don’t adopt those customs. They breed to maintain or cultivate traits to further their family unit’s status and/or gain an advantage on the battlefield.

I just had the worst thought. What if one of Hans nephews really admires him but is also treated badly because he doesn't live up to his father's 'standards' or is also overshadowed by older siblings and cousins. He wants to get to know Hans, maybe find a friend in him, but he knows that even talking to Hans will make his life more of a hell, so he keeps quiet, hoping to vanish into the background. He still hopes Hans will notice him though. He hopes.
I have dubbed the kid Otto and hes got a mop of blond hair that is always in need of a cut and big green eyes and very prominent freckles.
//This has been sitting in my inbox for over a week and I keep staring at it, like, I want to do something with it, but I don’t know what, because… If Hans had a nephew who looked up to him, I doubt that Hans would have ever realized it, not only because Otto is so shy, but because Hans himself feels so invisible. “Strange how short-sighted being invisible can make you,” Dumbledore once said, and I think that’s true… It wouldn’t occur to Hans that there could possibly be anyone else in the castle as alone or overlooked as himself… especially since each of his nephews has a higher claim to the throne than him!
But suppose that Hans did notice little Otto, who always fails to meet their family’s expectations. Would Hans feel sympathy for him, or would his resentment only grow, because even pathetic little Otto is more important than the King’s lowly, thirteenth son!
Either way, wouldn’t Otto have died in the great explosion?!
Or perhaps Otto survived… But unlike Hans, his survival wasn’t due to magic, just pure, dumb luck… Would Hans be tempted to remove this final obstacle between himself and the throne? Would he assume the role of Prince-Regent until Otto came of age? Assuming some sort of small council isn’t appointed to rule the Isles instead… Either way, I’m sure that Hans would try to manipulate Otto, giving himself more and more power… He might come to care for the boy like a son, but would that be more important than his own legacy? What happens when Otto realizes that Uncle Hans has been using him?
Ahh… There are so many possibilities. I love this. It’s awesome, thank you!
