TMHFN stands with victims of terror attacks
A police officer stabbed and four pedestrians run down in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Two women stabbed to death awaiting a train in Madrid, Spain.
More than fifty people dead, well over two hundred wounded, in a mass shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Those are the sad numbers just from this past weekend, just from Europe and North America.
Takemehomefromnarnia categorically condemns any and all acts of terrorism. Attacking innocent people can never be justified, not for any political or religious belief or agenda.
We offer our love and support to all victims. Our thoughts go out to the wounded and to the families whose loved ones were killed.
Let’s also not forget about the indirect victims of attacks like this one: all of us who are left a little darker by yet another shadow on our soul.
We do not claim to have the answer; even the question is fluid and ever changing. But this we do know:The intent or terrorism is not to kill, but to make witnesses so afraid that we change how we live our daily lives. The average citizen may not be able to stop acts of terror, but we can chose how we react to them. Terrorism is only effective if it makes people afraid. So let’s choose to not be afraid.
We will continue to gather together. We will continue to spread our rainbows. We will continue to celebrate and enjoy the music we love. We will continue to be courageous and strong.
