Now where was he? There was nothing simple about the relationship that ran between them, the string of red fate that wrapped tightly around their necks, threatening to squeeze all life from them both. That’s how it could feel at times. No matter how carefully he tried to untangle that string - walls would come up, hateful remarks would be spat across the table and back to square one everything would fall. It was with this buzz in the back of his mind that he walked through the hallways of the Kaiba mansion, flicking through his emails as he looked around for where it was Atem could have got to - the sound of distant music seeming to beckon him towards one of the music rooms towards the back of the house. Curious, he placed his tablet on a nearby table, carefully opening the door before him and watching the scene of beauty that danced before him.
There danced the petite form of his fiance before the large windows that looked out over the back gardens of the house, snow falling gracefully outside, only adding to the beauty of the scene. This felt like something rare, something delicate, almost making him afraid to disturb the other - as out of character as such a thought felt. But he could watch this for years. The graceful movements Atem’s body made, the relaxed expression on his face, how he perfectly moved along to the beat of the soft music to fill the large room. Again, he felt that slight tightening around his throat, but he took a few steps forwards, waiting for Atem to finish a few more steps before he stepped forward, offering a hand out towards the other. “Care for a dance?” @adonaiis
