Poorly Pearl (Part 3)

"How did you sleep?" Henry asks.

"Fine." You answer, "And you?"

"I slept okay." Henry answers, "I woke up a few hours ago, and I've been painting ever since."

You look around and see the maroon suitcase at the end of the bed. It was open, with paint bottles, paintbrushes and canvases filling it.

"Can I see what you're painting?" You ask.

"Not yet." Henry answers, "I'm almost finished."

You sit there, eating your sandwich for another 10 minutes, before Henry finishes his painting. He holding it up, examining it.

"Can I see it now?" You ask, smiling.

"Alright." Henry says, handing you the canvas.

You look down at the painting, you're mouth dropping in surprise. It was you, the painting was of your face.

"I painted it for you." Henry says, "As a thank you for caring for me."

You're speechless, having no clue how to respond to such kindness.

"Do you like it?" Henry asks, nervously.

"No, I don't like it." You answer, "I love it!"

A wide smile spreads across your face, as you gaze down at the painting. You feel so much happiness, both from Henry's amazing gift and that Pearl is much better.
