Mama’s Little Chef

I love when Mama lets me help her cook.  Sometimes it can be difficult for her to make choices, so we play "Which One" until dinner or dessert is done.  We made so many different kinds of ice cream this summer! I got to try new flavors, and I always chose the yummiest foods to put in with our bananas and honey!  Sometimes, Mama likes to make cookies, and she never seems to like how they turn out because I get to eat them all! And when she makes potatoes, she uses yummy plants that smell like my chewing tree just so that she can give me a couple bites.  My mama sure does love me a lot!

Going Into Stores With Mama

I love when Mama brings me into stores with her! She always lets me pick something out, so I always get to come home with either a toy or a treat. Mama is really lucky to have me with her, too because she can never seem to make a decision without me. I even help her pick out fabric for our matching accessories!

Kira's Birthday!

Man, birthdays are really a ton of fun! I mean I know I told you all about how cool my birthday was last week, but did I ever tell you what happened during Kira's? It was so much fun. Mama brought out this huge pile of stuff, and Kira and I got to pick our favorite things out of it. After all that, Mama used the toys we picked to make a brand new toy that was bigger and cooler than anything I had seen before! It was like a tug toy that made rattling sounds when Mama shook it around. You should really talk to your pawents about party activities for your next birthday!

My Birthday

Guess what!! It's my birthday!!!! I'm two now, and Mama says that means I am an adult. I am gonna be allowed to do so much stuff now. I'm even gonna be allowed to sleep in the living room by myself! And my party is gonna be awesome! I saw Mama hiding my favorite treats, so I know she is gonna let me have those for snacks, and I can't wait to see what kind of cake she makes me. All I know is it's gonna be delicious! Ooooo.... What do you think I'll get for my birthday present? I hope it's a new tug toy!

Strange and Scary Things Humans Do

I remember the first time I heard fireworks, I was so scared, I peed in the RV! I couldn't believe how the humans just stood and stared in awe as the sky exploded and split apart over and over. I thought the world was about to end, and I had no idea how to protect myself or my family. It was a really ruff night, and Mama didn't want me to ever go through that again, so she started watching firework movies with me in different places at different noise levels until I got used to it. Now the fireworks are still strange, and I don't understand them, but they aren't really that big of a deal. Humans do weird stuff sometimes, and ya just gotta deal with it.

Trying not to Chase Stuff

I've gotten pretty good at not chasing Kira, but when we go outside, everything looks like a toy.  I want to run and chase and tug and tear every leaf floating past, stick that Mama throws, and especially every bird flying away.  Small birds move so fast, the urge to chase them comes on so quick, but I am getting better at resisting that one.  What is really hard are big birds that make loud noises and flap their big wings.  I just wanna chase them and find out what other sounds they make, if they have any treats hidden inside, and how my teeth feel when I chew on them.  But, Mama says that's not okay, so I am trying to learn to settle with treats, toys and sticks.  At least she lets me catch leaves that fall in the water.

I Just Wanna Get 'Em!

Okay, I understand how it might not be a hundred percent appropriate to bark at everyone passing by or to lunge at anyone we pass on a walk, but it's so hard to resist! With dogs, one of two things is always true.  Either they want to hurt me, and I need to scare them away or they want to play, and I NEED TO PLAY! With humans, I know they always want to give me pets or a treat, so it's really hard not to argue with Mama when she says to heel and we are passing them.  She assures me that people can still greet me and give me treats in stores, and I can still play with dogs at the dog park, so I think I can handle it, though.
