hey guys. this is my idea for an scp. im posting it here before i make a fool of myself on the actual wiki.

OKAY SO

the actual anomaly is the picture of the snail (the snail does not exist)

basically what it does is it makes you think it’s a real snail (named frank) however people with a certain level of CRV (i’ll make this up later) resist it

right so

there will be 2 file versions written of this, one at the top written by someone affected by the anomaly. there will be a series of emails, journal entries, ect. (maybe), of a researcher going insane about “that snail is not fucking real what are you guys on about” and being gaslit by his coworkers or whatever. and then after all that there will be a correct file revision with the correct information

definitely not based on real experiences

My last “Frank” post got a lot more attention than I was expecting. Therefore, more “Frank” content.

I guess this is more to test out my writing skills than anything. If “Frank” isn’t loved by the wiki, he will still be present on my blog.

A preview of what I’m submitting to the Ideas Critique Forum:

Page Type: SCP Article

Elevator Pitch: A picture of a snail which makes people believe the snail is real, influencing them to spread the word.

Central Narrative: The article starts out with the first revision of the SCP’s containment procedures and description. The person who wrote it was under the effects of the SCP, an image of a snail. Several follow up emails by a researcher and his coworkers follow. The researcher isn’t affected by the anomaly and tries to persuade the others that there is no evidence that proves snail is real, leading to minimal success. After reaching out to many different people around the site, it is concluded that only people within a certain range of CRV are unaffected.
