"Ah, yes?? Thank you?? You're um, very nice."
He seems a little unsure of how to respond, but he's trying to be polite.

The manor is a large, vast place. It houses a large variety of 'hunters' and 'survivors' alike while still holding plenty of free space and areas still in the process of being rebuilt.
There are many doors, windows and other such items. There are many unexplained and mysterious phenomena. Moving and changing paintings that return to normal once you blink, doors that sometimes lead to places they shouldn't, a forest that provides no escape, voices whispering into your ears and shadows moving in the halls.
Today, the 'hunter' known as the Gamekeeper retreats into the forest, unwilling to talk to anybody and instead wishing to continue his self-assigned duty to protect and watch over it...
During his absence a door that didn't exist before seems to appear, sprouting forth from the wall.
'click'! Goes the lock before the door swings open, spilling sunshine onto the empty hallway.
Anybody searching for and asks directed towards the Gamekeeper find themselves ending up here and wandering through to the other side of this door and...
Emerging into the manor's gardens. It's different. The plants are more organised, neatly set up and sorted rather than the mix of colours that usually stood there. Prim and proper with not a single petal or leaf out of place.
The forest beyond the flowers has changed too, becoming livelier and displaying more of a gentle green rather than the looming and dark shadows and fog it held before.
Even the manor at the centre of it all seems different, less dilapidated and more in-tact and clean, better taken care of. Not a single broken window or scratch against the walls.
It was brighter, here, tranquil and happy rather than dark with a hint of gloom.
What the strangest thing is, though, is a single figure standing amongst all the flowers.
Despite the shadows obscuring his face he seems... At peace, relaxed. Something about him seems familiar. When questioned, he always provides a friendly smile, tone light-hearted and almost cheerful as he speaks.
"Oh! Are you one of the new employees? I'm the gamekeeper here, Bane Perez... But uh, you can just call me Bane... You probably won't see me around often, but if you ever need anything I'll be glad to help however I can!" His voice, although less rough and gruff, is familiar...
It's a stark contrast from the 'hunter' by the same name and title but... One can't help but to feel they are one and the same.
A DOOR TO THE PAST EVENT: BEGIN !
{
during this event
all asks and interactions will be directed for Bane, from before the Oletus Manor invasion had occurred. The event has no specified end time for now Bane will not recall all that happened once the event ends, instead receiving nothing more than vague memories and feelings and of course some deja vu.

(Clears throat, leans against wall) ya like jazz?
... It felt like there was some joke here that he wasn't understanding. Regardless, he answered.
"Yes, all music is rather good, even if I don't listen to it often."
Will you be giving out presents for the holidays ? 🥺
"Oh, of course! I try my best to give gifts to the other workers and the DeRoss family when I can... It's always nice to see people's faces light up."
Especially the children, who were always so very eager when given their own gifts.
She had sensed something was off about the manor… she could tell when the… things that watched the house, became alarmed and curious. Of course, this in turn, affected her own actions in spite of her recent tangle with mystery and the subsequent near death. She supposed though, this would be fine, wouldn’t it…? After all, if it was truly something worrisome… the least she could do was tell that scientist. Sure, he may not have exactly been supernatural the same way she, or the other hunters and survivors were, but he at least, could try to investigate, and if not… contact the Baron if required. She didn’t trust the higher powers of the manor… Hastur was unapproachable and silent in a way that made one think speaking was a death wish. And Yidrah was… well, Yidrah.
So naturally, she went to go and find that strange anomaly… the thing that made even the eyes of the manor jitter with anticipation and curiosity. She searched and searched, the almost ever shifting halls and paintings of the manor almost seeming to… guide her. As if the decision to look had been known amongst them, and they were indulging her curiosity for their… amusement…? Perhaps benefit was a better word. Finally, she happened upon the door, open and lettinf in a most… warm and soft light. How peculiar… she doesn’t recall the garden being here… or the door to the garden looking like this.
She passes through the open door and winces from just how… bright it was. The manor was often dim, save for the garden, so her eyes were a tad sensitive. As she stepped further through the flowers (which from the looks of them, may have been hydrangeas?) she had seen a figure. Something about him was familiar… but that couldn’t be him! He was far too well emotionally to ever be the callous, deer-headed hunter.
“Hello…?” She called out.

Upon hearing somebody emerge from the manor the gamekeeper couldn't help but to look up and-
Who was that? He hadn't seen anybody like her in the manor before... Granted, he didn't get to go to the manor overly often due to his position but, well, still... Was she a new employee? Or perhaps one of the Baron's invited guests? Either way, it'd be rude not to introduce himself.
So with a smile on his face- it was always nice to make a new friend- he stood up straight, a watering can in hand- the gardener's were sick, so he'd offered to help out a little bit when he had the time and so thus here he was, alone in the gardens except for this newbie- as he approached past all the different flowers, waving briefly with his free hand before letting it drop and stay by his side as he came to a stop just in front of her.
"Hi. Did you... need something? I'm just the gamekeeper here, Bane Perez... So you might not see me around much," and he may not be of much use when it came to matters within the manor, "but if there's anything you need help with at all, just let me know and I'll be glad to lend a hand."
He wasn't one for talking, always preferring to let others lead the conversation, but it was difficult to make friends with others if you didn't know how to speak up.
Just like the hunter by the same name, his voice was a little deep and gruff, if only a bit less rough. Contrary to the angry hunter though, his voice was more light-hearted. Even with the same height and body shape he seemed nicer, more soft around the edges and less towering... No limp hindered his movements and his skin was a healthy, living shade rather than the usual grey-purple that was to be seen from the hunter. Even with fabric and cloth covering almost every inch of his body any intimidation that could've brought was immediately destroyed by his friendly attitude.

((Oh boy, an event for past Bane!))
"Hello there Mister Bane, how is life treating you? I hope you're doing well."
(ask-the-teacher-idv)
"Oh, it's treating me rather well, thank you!" Really, he was quite happy with his life and how it was. Everything was going well, every day a pleasant one so long as he didn't worry himself and overthink about the poachers and their traps...
"How about you? Hopefully you're doing just as well as I am, and life is treating you kindly too." He didn't recall meeting her before, but she seemed nice enough to him! Besides, he thought all the manor residents to be good people and even if he didn't know them, he'd gladly give them all some well wishes.
