On Friday we’re going to look at HOUSES am I’m SO EXCITED

(I never planned a dream wedding or anything when I was younger but believe me I planned decorating a house it has been my dream for so many years)

(I can’t even imagine having a place of our own with no “adults”* where all of you, my friends, can come over anytime and visit?? It’s incredible?!?!?!)

*Yes, I guess we are adults, but I don’t feel adult enough to be getting a house- but I think life is a series of not feeling adult enough and you just do it

So you may of answers this before but anyways. I'm trying to make my room for a little more grown up I still feel like it's a teenager's room at times but I'm not quite sure how took about getting rid of those teenage vibes if that make sense? Anyways thanks!

Here are some ideas for you:

Frame any posters or wall art you have (black frames if possible)

Put any toys, stuffed animals, etc out of sight. Those can be kept in a closet. You better believe I still have my 1999 stuffed jaguar from the Natural History Museum’s gift shop named Purrmeow, but she’s not on display for guests.

Opt for a solid color with bedding, and always make your bed after you wake up in the morning.

Add some plants to your space! If possible put them in matching planters.

Buy storage bins, shelves, etc in order to keep your work spaces and floors uncluttered.

If your walls/floors are a wacky color (I had a weird color scheme growing up where my floors were purple but my walls were yellow???) consider painting them a calmer color.

Organize your closet and donate anything you haven’t worn in the past year (unless it has sentimental value).

Similarly- make your closet as neat as possible.
