You know, I had really grand ideas like I was going to watch both NGE dubs scene by scene and note down all the translation differences I found but I'm not even three minutes in and i realize this is actually insane. I do not have this kind of time or energy. MAYBE I can do episode by episode and just mark down the big ones I notice but fuck, what was I thinking?

I feel like Asuka in the ADV dub is so much funnier and more German than the Netflix dub. I don't remember being this entertained by her the first time, but it could also just be that I know her so much better now.

I'm having really mixed feelings about these different dubs. I'm going to have to try the Japanese one at some point now.

DYKA: Golden Boy 01

Members of the staff behind producing Golden Boy were, in fact, quite nervous about reactions to the show, which featured scenes where the only thing moving were breasts. Which is somewhat ironic considering that the manga itself by volume 2 was almost completely pornographic.
