Our latest trip, in October, took us back to Italy, this time exploring a whole new region - Apulia (Puglia) in the south of Italy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ During our week long road trip we visited 3 UNESCO World Heritage sites in the area. This one was the first: Castel del Monte, located on a hill 540m above sea level, this octagonal structure is full of mysteries. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The number 8 appears and reappears, again and again, having us wonder what was the connection? Why 8? There are 8 sides, 8 towers, 8 rooms on every floor, everything is built with almost obsessive mathematical and astronomical precision. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What do you guys think?
