Patagonia is a popular hiking destination in Chile, even when on a strict budget.

Did you kow that the Hiking destination Patagonia is shared by Chile and Argentina? The Andes Mountain here is home to some of the and beautiful hiking tracks in the world.

The Chilean side is more about temperate rainforests and glacial fjords. Even though Patagonia is more on the expensive side of travel with an average of 50$ expenditure/day, we survived on 15$. transportation and accomodation cost is specifically high. So, how did we make it through? Hereś the secret- self-cooking, camping and hitchhiking. Cutting cost on these factors makes Patagonia way more affordable.

Hiking itself can be a biggie when it comes to saving money. Entrance fee are low and we were into to independent hiking. So, that saved us a lot on the route. Cerro Castillo, O´Higgins Glacier Hike, Pumalin Park and Torres Del Paine are some of the best known hike trails that we took.

To be honest, January-March is definitely the best weather out here. But, lets face it, so is the prices. The trails are busy too. March-April or October/ November too has fair enough weather and is always a better season when traveling on a budget to Patagonia. Nevertheless, pact appropriately!

Time for a walk on the wild side: Zambiaś walking safari

Welcome to Zambia, the land of walking safaris! No matter how long the walking trail is or if it is a lodge-based walk, game viewing on foot is not to be skipped for its obvious thrill.

Guided bush walks may not be unique to Zambia, but, the knowledge levels of the guides are undeniable. Exploration of the traditional rural living and the density of the forest is never complete without Zambiaś guides as they grow up in close proximity with the awe of the African bush.

The sticking landscapes and astonishingly remote Lower Zambezi National Park offers the best experience of tracking lions on foot. On one side the, the park has densely forested escarpment while the other side is flanked with elephant-filled islands and green banks of the mighty Zambezi.

The park is just a few hours drive from Lusaka. This untouched expanse is also known for unique activities like kayaking on various tributaries among hippos and crocs and picnicking in the middle of Zambezi on a sandbar. To experience the special Zambian combo, many travelers coup a morning bush walk with an overnight canoe safari down the Zambezi.
