2. Big spoon/Little spoon?

Despite his massive height difference... Haurchefant is the little spoon between him and Nahte. If you can call it spooning, anyway! Nahte more or less ragdolls on top of Haurchefant at night.

For X'rhun and I'lyrha, X'rhun is usually the big spoon. Lyrha likes it that way. It's easier for her to instigate ... special spooning.

7. What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?

Like reasonable, well-adjusted people, X'rhun and I'lyrha immediately distance themselves from one another.

Though idealistic and passionate, X'rhun has far too much experience being robbed of the people he cares about, fighting for the losing side, and keeping friends only in passing. Lyrha should have been another transient adventure: a maiden rescued from the bring of death, a pupil taught Red Magic, and gone on her own way. If she stayed, it meant letting her get to know the real him, beneath the Crimson coat. Having her by his side meant accepting the risk of losing a true comrade, again. After a lifetime of injustice, that might be too much a burden to bear.

For I'lyrha, it meant choosing between continuing to lie to the only honest man she'd ever met, and telling him the truth about what she really was - a pirate and a slaver, who'd spent her life caring for no one but herself, who'd condemned innocents, children, to horrible fates... everything X'rhun and Red Mages stood so stalwartly against. He'd killed many villains for lesser crimes. Honesty would give him the power to condemn her... or forgive her, both perhaps equally terrifying. And perhaps she didn't deserve his love, anyway, especially if she continued to keep her past a secret.

24. Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear during inappropriate times?

Between Nahte and Haurchefant -- it's absolutely Haurchefant. There's just something satisfying about seeing cool, collected Nahte'to Vhia's fur stand on end in the middle of a dull meeting.

Thank you, Megh! 💕 I haven't rambled much about Esper in a while... so I'mma do that.

💓— What could their partner do to make their heart race?

Esper is a sucker for that kind of tropey 'bad boy behavior'—oozing confidence and assertiveness, some form of dominance, giving a big fuck you to societal norms. She never quite found a place in the pre-War culture (not one she willingly wanted to be in) and never had a chance to deviate from it until stumbling into Goodneighbor centuries later.

👀— What’s their favorite body part on themselves? On their partner?

It takes some time after being freed of Nathan's abuse for her to look at herself positively, but once she does, Esper finds herself quite proud of her arms. She's especially fond of how well they can swing a bat into raiders' heads.

For Hancock, it's his butt. What can I say, Esper is an ass gal. Bonus points for the way his hips sway when he walks.

💔— What could their partner do that would absolutely break their heart?

Relapsing back into his hard benders. It's her greatest fear, even: to come home and find Hancock succumbing to his demons again. She'd rather not even think about it.

Arms slip around his waist, a cheek presses against his back, ignoring the roughness of the sharkskin suit.  Lila is still delightfully sleep-warm and Daniel sinks back into it, enough that she laughs and adjusts her footing to try and keep him upright.

ty so very much @makkuromurasaki for tagging me! i am, embarrassingly, not super familiar with most of the artists on your list although i listened to art angels by grimes almost exclusively when it came out.

i've pretty much been listening to the same three folk musicians since i was 14, although otherwise, i have a pretty broad music taste (and a 100+ spotify playlists, yikes). but! a lot of that is incredibly niche, so i filtered some out for the sake of this.

9. Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear?

This was the first #9 I came across so I assumed this was it. And they both do. Em usually can figure it out when Mac needs some "stress relief" cause he tenses up a lot or is really on edge. He usually does it as things start heating up.

Em on the other hand, does it when she's feeling frisky. Mood strikes her anywhere and anytime, so she will whisper stuff even in public (never ever loud enough for others to hear) and only feels bad after that she made him blush and awkwardly chuckle.

5. Who initiates kisses?

Both do here too. It's not always easy for Em to initiate cause she's decently shorter than him, but he doesn't say no when she pulls at his scarf for a smooch. She initiates more when he's not standing, so like sitting at the bar, sprawled on the couch, etc. Unless she pulls out the chair. Let her pull out the chair and stand on it to smooch him.

8. Who’s better at comforting the other? (This one I picked hehe)

Mac is. He still has his moments, and Em is great at comforting him, but she tends to receive it more. When it comes down to it, he does like to comfort her, mainly because he knows he can.
